Also, try to avoid the online scholarship applications that ask for your social security number. It's possible that they're fake, and you'll be a victim of identity theft since the people behind the fake scholarship will have your social security number.

Well, I'm glad to be of help to you. I don't know anyone who was a victim of the fake scholarships, but I know there are some people who end up being sabotaged because someone gains access to their personal information.
