That trailer is badass, and features the scene of Jason running. I figured you all would enjoy watching it.

Seeing as it's my first time posting through the thread, I didn't know.

No problem, had I know it was already posted, I wouldn't have.
So, what are your feelings toward the film thus far?

Pretty sure. I just downloaded RealPlayer and when I go to YouTube and put my cursor near the top right of the video screen a little pop up window comes up that says download this clip to realplayer. I press yes and its in your 'downloads' in realplayer. Quite simple and very cool add on.
As for my thoughts on the Friday the 13th remake, I think it looks pretty cool. The TCM remake was a decent slasher film and the guy can direct so it might be ok. I'll wait and see it before I judge it.
I like that they're combining elements from some of the earlier movies, but still aren't making him a zombie quite yet. If he does become a zombie, I'd leave that for a sequel, and not upfront for this movie.

I'm excited about this remake.
I think it's a good thing their revamping a lot of these modern classic monsters. The films for these characters are so bogged down in continuity, that they need a fresh start.
I for one liked Zombies remake of Halloween
am totaly amped for the Friday remake, and can't wait to see what they do with A Nightmere on Elm Street.
I kind of think Nightmare on Elm Street shouldn't be remade...unless Englund is returning. He's the only person suitable for the role.

I thought that for a long time.I just couldn't see anyone else playing Freddy.
But then I really thought about it,and I'm kind of glad Englund won't be Freddy for this film.I think part of what these horror movie remakes are for is to add the "Horror" element back into these movies.
I mean in all reality Freddy stopped be scary after probably the third film in my honest opinion.I can't blame that on Englund because he made the character an icon, but I think to make Freddy scary again their going to need a new face taking over the character.
Yeah I would not hope for much. I watched the railer and saw "Michael Bay". I mean there are very dew directors that I add to my Black List and he is one that just seems to pump out shit pile after shit pile.
Let's see if this will be as bad as the TCM remake or the absolute shitty Rob Zombie Halloween.
