Philosophy of the Knife wasn't all that original. It was a shitty version of Men Behind the Sun combined with aspects of Shoah. And then mixed with more shit.
No it's absolutely terrible, monumentally shitty and another movie made by a talentless hack who simply promoted the hell out of it saying that it's the most extreme and disturbing film ever made, and then forgot to try and actually make it not suck. The gore effects are passable since they were done by Toe Tag and they do good effects, but it wasn't enough to save the rest of the movie. See it, though, you might like it.
Oh?
Here is my post:
For the reading impaired, no mention of Rob Zombie at all. To which you responded:
Not to mention that in your very first post in the thread you randomly brought up your distaste for Rob Zombie movies.
snuff 102 is nothing compared to august underground, aftermath, nekromnantik, the gateway meat, the flower of flesh and blood, mermaid in a manhole etc etc
but i do want to see muzan-e,, so murder set pieces has got alot to say what it is,
watch it,, then maybe we can argue about it,,

It's less disturbing than most movies. It's less disturbing than Sesame Street.
I do like the August Underground series, though I didn't like how they abandoned the plausible atmosphere for more gore in Mordum. I also very much liked Aftermath and Flower of Flesh and Blood and I love Mermaid in the Manhole.
Also, have you seen Cutting Moments? A brilliant short film that is very deeply disturbing.
fred vogel is a star i just love his stuff,, the redsin tower wasnt that great,, shite compared to mordum and penance,, but im hoping murder collection v1 is up to standards
These are some of the movies that stand out for me:
Dawn of the Dead (re-make): I love the original but I like the re- make better----fast zombies are the apocalypse!
Alien
Event Horizon
Silent Hill
From Beyond -- I believe the better lovecraft inspired film
Session 9
Cabin Fever
Hell Raiser 2
The Descent
The Exorcist
Grave Dancers
Cube
Help---I would like to see the August Underground movies, but would like to "rent" rather than buy---any suggestions?
Also, does anyone know of the film "Fontiers"? I understand it is a French (EU) release, but any word on a U.S. release?
As far as I know August Underground can only be purchased online through Toe Tag Pictures or some other means. Never seen it available to rent anywhere.
Event Horizon
The Thing (John Carpenter's).
Let the Right One in
The Decent
CandyMan
A Tale of Two Sisters(Korean).
Bram's Stoker 'Dracula
Thirteen Ghosts
Hellraiser
The Orphange
I need some new films to watch for Halloween this weekend. Preferably from the 80's. You think anyone can help me out? Try not to name the more obvious ones.
