Best Men is a 1997 film directed by Tamra Davis and starring Fred Ward, Drew Barrymore, and Dean Cain.
Jesse Reilly was released from prison and he is to be married to Hope. Shortly before the wedding he is involved in a bank robbery with his friends Buzz Thomas, Teddy Pollack and Billy Phillips. It escalates to a hostage crisis, and the FBI is called. In an exchange of fire, a few men are shot. Hope and Jesse are then rescued by John G. Coleman in a helicopter.
In the last scene, Jesse and Hope are shown raising their son.
They Live is a 1988 science fiction film directed by John Carpenter, who also wrote the screenplay under the pseudonym Frank Armitage. The movie is based on Ray Nelson's 1963 short story Eight O’Clock in the Morning.
Part science fiction thriller and part dark comedy, the film echoed contemporary fears of a declining economy, within a culture of greed and conspicuous consumption common among Americans in the 1980s. In They Live, the ruling class within the moneyed elite are in fact aliens managing human social affairs through the use of a signal on top of the TV broadcast that is concealing their appearance and subliminal messages in mass media.
The Midnight Hour (also known as In the Midnight Hour) is a 1985 comedy/horror television movie which aired on ABC on November 1, 1985, and stars Shari Belafonte-Harper, LeVar Burton, Peter DeLuise, and Dedee Pfeiffer.
Fortress is a 1986 film directed by Arch Nicholson and written by Everett De Roche. It is based on Gabrielle Lord's novel of the same name, which was loosely based on the 1972 Faraday School Kidnapping.
In the story a teacher and her students at a small rural school are kidnapped and held for ransom.
The movie was shot in Australia. It won the American Cinema Editors for direction of Photography. It was released to cinemas in Australia. In the United States it was released directly to cable television.
Could it be Explorers? Explorers is a 1985 family-oriented science-fiction fantasy film written by Eric Luke and directed by Joe Dante. It was the first feature film for both River Phoenix and Ethan Hawke.
there are these 2 guys, and they like set up this "killing competition" to where they have this big group of people that have to kill their marks, and say two of the killers are trying to kill the same mark? one killer has to kill the other so they can get credit for the kill of the mark. then the last one standing is the winner
and the winner is a girl
and she drives a WHITE motorcycle
so she's all happy and excited (i don't know what the winner was supposed to win)
but then the two guys that created the game/competition thing kill her
with cement shoes
off a dock I think Its a movie from the 90's thx
It's scary movie month, and been trying for years to figure out the name of the following vampire movie. Probably came out in latter 60's, maybe under Hammer studios... Before the credits, movie starts with a shot of a burial out in a lonely graveyard. Out of the fog, a long shot of a man comes out of the distance, approaches the group, coffin is already in the ground. Man walks up to the hole, picks up a sharp shovel and throws it into the hole. It tears into the box, the camera shows the face inside the box, it's a vampire that just took his last shovel to the chest, screaming. Music comes up, title and credits, and the movie starts. (The stranger was obviously the only one who knew that the guy in the box in the hole wasn't dead yet..) Any idea what the name is? Thanks
Ok... I have some really odd & rare 80s movies I need help finding the names too... I'm sorry if my descriptions are vague, run on's & lack detail. I saw these movies 20 years ago on late night TV. I believe these & a few others are the reason I like weird movies so much!! Thanks guys for your help!!
movie 1
Not sure how the movie starts off but I'm sure its post apocalyptic.
The whole world has gone to shit. The main character is a Boy. Hes about 10-15 years old.
The plot of the film is to locate "Game pieces" from what I recall people are in search of these game pieces to win Money or ???.
They are letters. One letter per game piece. You find them at gas stations or stores? anyway, you have to spell out this word... I believe that word is the name of the movie? The hard part is everyone is looking for the same rare letters.. there are thousands of one letter & only one of another... Oh & i remember the kid gets hurt defending himself over a piece. Its one of his eyes. So its a kid, with one eye (he wears a patch) driving around all over... its a desert setting like the outback Australia... ( Not saying that's where its suppose tobe) looking for games pieces fighting & killing there way to the end. Think after you spell the word you win a million bucks... so it has Tobe a 80s flick cuz in todays World a million is nothing right...? Everyones talking about billions or trillions like its nothing. lol
Movie 2
I remember the film starting out in a lab or hospital of some kind. The doctors are putting bar codes on the new Born babies & implanting micro chips in them.
The plot of the movie is when your born you have a value set to your life. You work & you earn "life credits" If you buy stuff you get scanned & that is taken off of your life... so there is No credit cards, just your life. I recall in the beginning of the movie a rich women goes to a small poor town. She buys a little boy. The boy had a sister but the lady only took the boy. Anyway... fast forward 10-15 years & the Boy is now a man. He runs a business or casino for the rich lady..? The sister he once knew as a boy comes back into his life... She is a mess... I think she is gambling in one scene & she doesn't win.. so this means shes going to die. The brother tries to save her... Not sure the rest of the movie.
Can anyone help???? Thanks
Movie 3
I cant remember much about this film. I know it was set in a post apocalyptic era. Like the rest.
It was about a bunch of kids on roller blades. Its kind of like a Mad Maxx. Shot in the desert.
I have know idea of the plot. same cliche. Bad guy captures kids, Kids break them free... then the run or skate in this case for there freedom. Fighting & killing along the way.
Have any idea of the name of this movie or know more about it??
Movie 4
I can only recall one scene from this movie. There are a handful of friends. All teens. (Guys & girls) They are in a Car.. a really fast hot-rod that one of the boys built ? Anyway.. In the scene the kids are trying to out-run some evil force that is in the form of electricity?? They are on the street at night racing from power line to power line... I think they are trying to blow up the polls w/ dynamite? To stop the evil force from making it somewhere... ??
Has anyone scene a movie like this... I have no idea why they are doing this or the plot... I was like 10 when I saw the movie on Late night TV.
I believe all these movies were on USA up all night or Maybe HBO, Showtime, ect...
It's an old black and white film starring I think Humphrey Bogart. He plays as a guy who was framed of committing a crime, and he's on the run from the law. The first half or so of the movie is shot from a first person perspective, and he goes through an operation to get like, almost a face transplant. I know that that scene in particular was shot from a first person perspective, and there's a kind of famous scene there where the bandages around his face are unwrapped, and it looks really strange because of the first person perspective.
Anyone know which film I'm talking about?
