Mxy's powers aren't necessarily magical in nature...

Hey what about that pimp slap he gave energy Supes and DD? It was 1 slap for the both of em. Not really a big deal for Mxy but after getting hit, the look on Supes and DD's face lets u know whos far superior. cool

Mxy then transforms into a being that bares a striking similarity to Marvel's Impossible Man... shifty

And in the middle panel we see the lower half of Four characters, who look very much like the Human Torch, Thing [who was covered in jelly], Reed, and Sue -- Walking away/ignoring Mxy:

I hear some of these instances brought up frequently, in an effort to demean Mxy -- so let's look at them closely, shall we?

1.) "Gog blasting Mxy":

Note that Mxy was clearly unprepared when Gog blasted him -- and that all he had to do was revert back to the 5th dimension to regain himself.

Now why isn't this necessarily a low showing?

Because Gog's staff housed...

If anything, this instance serves to demonstrate the amount of power required just to harm an unprepared Mxy.

Note that Mxy isn't completely depowered...

"I might have a spell or two left in me" -- he then teleports himself and Superman to Ruin's location:

Mxy used his powers to 'take the bullet' for Superman -- this action allowed Mxy to utter his name backwards, which made him fade from Superman's arms as he returned back to the 5th-D, and regained his powers:

All I have to say here,

and the reason Prime wanted Mxy in the first place, was in hopes of obtaining his power to not only destroy the Multiverse -- but to build the 'perfect' Universe in it's place:

Was it not specifically pointed out that the imp in those scans wasn't Mxy?
