Re: ...............
Yeah but it was Chewie who conviced Han to return and help Luke.

Re: ...............
Yeah but I bet the Rebellion didn't know that. I must say that he still deserved the medal though, even if Han did do most of the work (I assume).

Re: ...............
Don't you think Wedge kind of deserved one too? I mean he took part in the battle and I'm pretty sure he saved Luke's life at some point. He certainly should have got one too.

Re: ...............
Biggs deserved a medal posthumously for taking that last laser blast for Luke that killed him, although they couldn't have done that since they cut the Luke/Biggs reunion scene out of the original version of ep4.

Re: ...............
You can't give a medal to a dead man.You can honor them but you can't give them medals.

Re: ...............
Yes, I agree. That's why Wedge should have also got a medal as he survived. Not because he nessecarily saved anyone or done a great job but because he survived. Any other pilots who survive should get a medal too just for taking part in the succesful battle.

Re: ...............
Yeah, EJ, I guess thats what I really meant to get across, that Biggs should be at least honored in some way, not necessarily with a medal. Wedge deserves one too, although I would like to point out that in the novel, Chewie does get a medal in the ceremony with Luke and Han.

Re: ...............
I don't think Qui-Gon is that bad. At least its actually Star-Wars-ish. Porkins sounds like a type of food. Pieces of ham dipped in barbecue sauce I reckon.

Re: ...............
DD, I'm laughing my flippin head off. Qui-Gon is acceptable as a Jedi name, but Porkins sounds like a southern states restaurant chain. "Ya'll come down to Porkins' where you just have to stick your fork in". What a great jingle !!!!

HA HA! I like your joke, Gundark! Glad you liked mine too.
I think Amidala is fine. It certainly sounds like a name from Naboo.

Re...
I don't know how George comes up with half these names, yet almost all of them sound just exactly right the first time you hear them. Except some..like...Jar Jar. Or Porkins.

Re: Re...
I write quite a lot of Star Wars novels and I think of names just by randomly punching in a few keys in and then adding in vowels in between the letters.

Re: Re...
I think he takes preexisting names and just sticks in random letters
And I always thought Porkins was goofy too

Re: Re...
Yeah I can see why you think that, but I've got so used to the name now that I don't mind it at all. I think Boba doesn't really suit a tough bounty hunter. A boba sounds like a little cuddley furry rodent or something.
