You mean the one in JSA? This scan is from 52, and part of World War III, which all happens before Final Crisis.
Most of the fight happens off panel, but since you don't see Billy again until several pages later talking about how he failed to convince Teth's gods to intervene, it's a fair bet he lost the physical fight with Adam.
The first few scans seems from PC days which you adore. He was amped during WWIII and cap was just trying to talk to him. Cap has beat down adam more times than adam has. A novice cap has hold his own against adam in Power of Shazam graphic novel and beat him down in black reign untill Brainwave Jr. intervened. Superman is above both cap and adam when he cuts loose.
No, that's post crisis. The mini was released at the same time as Legends.
And Billy was amped for WWIII, too. He took over the wizard Shazams duties at this time, remember.
And feel free to post scans or cite issues on Cap beating down Adam.. I've seen the fight in "Black Reign", and Billy had a very slight advantage, but it was mostly back and forth..
^Cite the issue number for those scans. Billy was amped only in rock of eternity IIRC, besides power sharing was back in effect for marvel family. That's why adam had to order Brainwave jr to stop cap, right. Cap never had any edge against kal in any of their fights. Hell cap has fought adam with a broken arm evenly IIRC. This is just waste of time, it's like arguing because surfer beat down beta ray bill he would beat down thor in the same manner too.

Origin changes don't always cancel out what came before or during though, only alter certain elements.
Like DC First Lobo doesn't mean Eradicator possessed Supermans fight with Lobo never happened.
Anyways, there's other examples of Adam at least being equal to Cap. Power of Shazam is one such example, with the fight ending when Adam becomes depowered, but otherwise holding his own throughout the comic.
If we did discard the fight because of the origin change, we'd pretty much have to discard the entire early 90's post crisis DC. Mon El, he had a major origin change too. To the point where a lot of his old stories simply doesn't fly with his new one. so does that mean Superman never fought an eclipsed Mon El and beat him? Does it mean all the events of L.E.G.I.O.N. never happened?
As far as Teth and Billy go, Teth's edge comes from the fact that he hold back far less than Cap does and he isn't above being aggressive and ruthless. He's not stronger than Captain Marvel or more powerful. Billy, at the end of the day, is a nice kid, an even bigger boyscout than Superman is.
