Swamp Thing is apparently more immortal than Immortal Man...

"But Swamp Thing's not like the Immortal Man -- he can't die, can he?"

There's actually a DC Handbook of bios?

Or is this a special case?

It's called the DC Encyclopedia. It doesn't have stats like Marvel handbooks do, but it does have a bio for pert-near every DC character.

Orgasmic thread. Swamp Thing has got to be one of the most interesting characters I have ever seen.

Swamp thing doesn't die in the orthodox sense, true, but he does fade out.

He goes to the parliment of the trees, and joins previous green elementals. And merely grows tall as a tree.

Great character tho, one of my top five, and the relationship he has with hellblazer is great.

Oh yeah, when Swamp thing took over Gotham with vegetation, Batman swore he'd kill ST if he tried to do so again........and ST believed it.

According to The Word, when Swamp Thing usurped the powers of every element, he nearly succeeded in replacing the God:

Well, it was one of those heated reaction things Batman had, after getting bested by Swampie & having to give in to the demands to release Abby from jail. It's not like he ever promised Joker he'd kill him.

Thanks!

As for your question, Swamp God >

----

There's also this scan, in which Swamp God's power is stated to be > the Voice itself:

The Phantom Stranger also confirms it.

And the reason the Word is unleashed is to prevent Swamp Thing from gaining his full power; had there been no threat, there wouldn't really have been a reason to awaken the Word, who hadn't been given a mission in eons, would there?

The only time i seen him was in the allan moore story where he cured sups of a plant diese of some kind and another time when sups riped off his arm. great thread
