It was longer, had more coop interactions, had new vehicles that were actually fun to use(the stupid kryll chase in GoW1 was the most stupid crap ever and insanely annoying on insane) the story was better and had more depth and even the soundtrack.
BTW any word from AC? I am curious to know what his impression was.
What is really annoying is the multi. It takes a long time to find a match, and when you do get a match most of the time it starts with one guy getting booted which is pretty much BS. Never the less I still play it.

I found the Campaign to be an excellent improvement.
However,
the gameplay.
I prefer Gears 1 to be honest. The mechanics seem slower paced in this one, I don't like the Hammerburst, the shotgun has been erfed so it's near useless, and nothing can beat a chainsaw in close combat. A guy was running at me with his Lancer in and I shot him at point blank range with the shotty and he tanked right through it and sawed me in half. I've done the same thing to other people over and over again. I got twenty kills in Assassination with just the chainsaw.
Also you run slower when you get shot, which is gay.
It takes forever to find players online, and you can't choose the map unless it's players choice I believe. God, that "matchmaking" feature has always been gay and always will, Halo for the Xbox suffers because of that.
Personally, I give SP an 8/10, while I igve multiplayer a 6/10.

But I agree. They nerfed the Shotgun too much. I understand about making the player slowdown when you shoot them while they run, but they went and nerfed the shotgun too which makes it pointless.
The hammerburst's zoom and ability to shoot faster by continously pressing the trigger makes it deadly...but then again the fricking chainsaw.
About the chainsaw yeah...it is full of bullshit. I won a match by simply running around behind peeps and chainsawing their asses. So pretty much you need to have a chainsaw equipped to enter a duel and survive. Otherwise you are dead meat.

I never liked that whole "we'll choose the map and game type for you" thing, too be honest. If there's twenty game servers on, and all 20 are playing the same map with the same settings, I say so be it. Why force people to play maps they don't want to play? In Gears 1 I could log on and be playing a match in under 4 minutes, now, like Halo, your skill has to be matched up and your latency etc. etc.
I haven't gotten much of a chance to play with the Hammerburst aside from the Campaign and when I started with it once (once because I got my ass kicked by the lancer), and it felt alot like the Carbine from Halo. Almost like an exact replica actually.
Well I preferred its feel in the first, now I'm not really sure what it's doing, in the last one it was like a three shot burst, now it's like a slow auto.
Yeah gunfire does seem slower in this one, it's one of the main things I like less. As for other stuff it seems like other people are having problems and I'm not which is good and bad. Shotgun for instance, it works fine for me, I haven't had it nerf like others have. Chainsaw though, when I get shot it goes down which makes me go wtf?
