for the ones that espect an exact replica of the anime, is allready disapointed, as a movie with martial arts, and people with power fighting, this movie could had kung fu hustler/ matrix fights. so this movie will not be as bad as some said.
What an utter and complete dissappointment this movie is turning out to be. What a slap to the faces of all the Dragonball fans in the world. We've been hoping for a live action movie since we were all kids, and now they are taking this franchise and totally pissing on it. If they couldn't find a way to make the transition from manga to film work without changing more than half of the mythos, then it wasn't a good idea to make.
It's just greedy american bastards bleeding out a franchise adored by millions, with little respect for the source material.
Well, iMo all the superheroe movies were made by greedy people, is dispointed from the point of view that is change form the source, but nobody has seing the whole thing yet to claim the movie is really bad, from what i know, all the superheroes movies and books have being adapted, even Lord of the ring.

I always thought that the Dragonball franchise took place close to the future since almost everybody has access to those capsules and other futuristic devices.
French trailer, not so different from the Japanese or the American, only that it has a glimpse of Ozaroo and the song made in japan for the movie (which i dont like much, but it give respect to the Japan and fits DB)
Sure it does. It has the dragonballs, and Piccolo, and other characters that have names of DB characters but look nothing like them. And the Kamehameha

I just saw the Japanese trailer, Shenron looks awesome--far greater than in the manga I might add. The great ape is actually an ape--and pretty bad ass as well. I don't see why people still are bitching about this movie, it has taken a turn for the better.
And as said previously, it's not going to be like the ****ing manga. Because that would look retarded. There's only a select few manga that can be turned into a live action movies without improvisation.
If Bulmas hair was shock-blue/cyan/green it would look ****ing ridiculous and would appeal to anyone. Take those cheesy concept and shove them back into you asses.
Same thing goes for Goku being buff or having the exact same hairstyle as in the manga, if it was possible to accomplish it would suck--I have a hard time seeing how people can go from he doesn't look exactly like Goku therefore it's a bad movie.
And no master Roshi will not be perverted, which is good because the sorry ass Japanese humor would once again ruin the appeal of this movie.
So to all you *itching haters, go shot yourselves.
