I feel like my match vs. Leo should at least be a runner up here. The judges came out to be 3-4 for Leo, and the time/length of debate put in was ridiculous.
Hell, I was supposed to have a Battlezone with goober a long time ago. I want a rematch of our match from the Evangel tourney he won. I went with plan B in our first match (it was double elimination) because I assumed I'd be meeting him in the finals, where I wanted to unleash Plan A. Then my team got rule-nerfed into the Stone Age and I couldn't compete. I was so salty we couldn't have that match, because I was literally drafting/planning everything even before the tourney started specifically to counter his team in the finals. It would've been all kinds of fun.
I've seriously never even been remotely perturbed on KMC outside of tourneys, but have been livid over sh*t in them. My competitive nature, I guess. It's part of the reason I honestly prefer to judge. I get to enjoy them without feeling the need to fight for all kinds of little bullsh*t.
...for anyone who remembers my epic, awesome audio writeups....that would be my sole form of posting in future tourneys. People would hate it, but it would be hilarious. Pray I don't decide to enter anything ever again.
Also, I was just going through the respect thread. Unless I missed one, we didn't have a single tourney in '09. A few in '08 (the last ended in '09, I believe, but I count based on starting date) then this current one in 2010.
Naw the most salty moment comes to me, and Kandy losing our match to Leo and Scoobless. Hell it didn’t even matter if we won the match, we still didn’t qualify for round 2. I just wanted to go out with a bang, with tournament crushing defeat over the favorites to win it.
To me I had narrowed out how to gain Cosmic Level sorcery, through base equipment ruling. Even after proving it was a base equipment, we still lost.
That one pissed me off. I don't like matches where the whole thing comes down to judge rulings. And losing anyway was really awful and i'm still puzzling over it.
I could have easily abused it, but that's not how I roll. I used it as a supplementary tool to regular writeups, and didn't use the audio stuff to make endlessly long writeups to circumvent the opening post rules.
The people who immediately cried foul when I did one made me sad, though. They didn't get that it was entirely for fun, and honestly forced me to stop with them sooner than I had planned. If I ever legitimately decide to do audio writeups/posts in the future, it will likely have to be short 1-2 minutes blurbs, just to avoid that nonsense.
