OMG!! Are you hellbent on seeing Luke win?! I could care less about the current conditions, this thread turned to shit after page 2. I'm sticking to the original conditions that were first stated since they at least make sense. I've made up my mind and you need to respect that. What does it matter if my choice doesn't "qualify"? Luke or Neo isn't gonna get a trophy or something. To my understanding, I've made my choice, live with it.

Yes, and I'm sticking to the original choice SINCE I DON'T HAVE THE PROPER KNOWLEDGE of NJO Luke. So chose Neo under the old restrictions. Look back at the posts, D Guy wouldn't have said anything if it weren't for all the NJO Luke fanboyism. That didn't sit well with me. So I choose Neo, that's final, take it or leave it.
If at first I stated Tim Burton Batman, which I did, and several posts later I changed it to comics Batman just so he can keep up with Racer X, that would be bullshit, it's not cool man. Better to be safe than sorry so stick to the original plan. It's what I did and if some don't like, tough shit.
I posted my choice. You came in telling me my choice wasn't "valid" as if you have any say in it and I'm pretty sure whatever we may think of a thread it's up to us should we decide to continue posting in it. Not yours.
If you realized that the original conditions were totally one sided (ie: Racing entirely in Gotham), then it would be totally understandable if you changed the conditions to keep the thread going.
OK then, I am gonna go with Neo at the very beginning of the Matrix, when he doesn't even know Kung Fu......How stupid does that sound? I am gonna do it because I want to and could care less what the thread starter says.

Mostly because I refuse to "research" SW crap. I don't like it. Besides the films, every else is just garbage to me. I opened up one window to start reading about NJO and was literally put to sleep. Just not my thing, so I said to hell with it, and picked MY obvious choice. Neo.
But it isn't one sided. The guy who started this had no knowledge of The Matrix, let alone NJO Luke and besides, who cares? Just because I say Neo won doesn't mean he did, it's a fantasy fight. If you want, you can think that I chose the loser. It happens in gambling, not every sports team wins.
Sarcasm or not, if you chose that, I'd respect that, why can't you. Sorry to disappoint. Do you want me to go against my decision and beliefs and say NJO Luke would win? Am I gonna have to do that just to please you?
Your decision is your decision, but it doesn't hold any water because you know little nothing of one of the two combatants, and, more importantly, you are ignoring the current conditions of the fight.

I did some research on NJO just to settle this, and the whole thing is just sheer fanboyism to me, no different then stupid Matrix fan-fic imo.
He DOES have all the abilities you guys described except he's not a god. He IS a big step up from ep. 4-6 Luke I must say, but even then, I now know enough about both combatants and my choice is still Neo.
Given the chance that NJO Luke fights Neo in the Matrix, I still have to hand it to Neo, sorry.
No, it is fairly obvious Neo is not a God. He has amazing powers, but he is just a super badass, a regular man with extraordinary powers, that's all.......not a God.

Further, Neo possesses superhuman strength and agility, and is able to brush off attacks that would kill or disable a normal human being with relative ease. His reflexes are great enough to dodge bullets in a manner similar to the Agents (though he usually stops them outright with his telekinesis). However, his strength and endurance have limits. Even though he could block a sword with the edge of his hand, he received a small cut, indicating (as the Merovingian pointed out) that he was still human despite his powers. His endurance is also finite: when confronted by masses of Smith clones in the second film, Neo was forced to escape rather than continue fighting, and upon exiting the Matrix, he appeared visibly tired and out of breath.

That was mostly because Smith, and all the other Smiths by reproduction had grown beyond the Matrix and attempted to assimilate him.

This has turned into an argument about Neo's powers now. It's not even Luke Vs Neo anymore. Why isn't the thread closed? It's a shambles. Let's do Luke Vs Superman, it's much easier.
Well, if you are going to pit two guys against one another, it makes all the sense in the world to discuss their powers, what they can and cannot do.
If the discussion was Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett playing one on one, we would discuss what they can and cannot do with a basketball, right?
If Luke gets ahold of a chunk of kryptonite, Superman is finished.
