Just saw Predators. Wasn't bad, though it didn't seem as well thought out as it could've been. But yeah, I agree...
...and the true worthy successor to Predator.Predators seemed a little too "we've been here before."

Thinking about it, AVP I'm also tempted to give a 7 (maybe 7.5). Though it didn't quite live up to expectations, the setting and some of the scenes were intriguing. But AVP-R...I'll be generous with a 3.

Not necessarily disagreeing with you, but, it was a major homage to the AvP comics, which is where the whole AvP concept began. In the first chapter of the comics the main character which is an asian chick ends up allying with the predators against the aliens and in the end she "joins" the predators and becomes one of them.

wow, just wow.. very good movie... liked the yautja a lot.. was surprised when adrien brody was cast but he was good..
hated the fact about no honor code which was my only drawback.. if someone on here or in the real world asked me if this should be seen i'd say yes.. i'd give this 9/10..
What,I hated about AVP was how they made the predetor protect that girl at the end, that was bullsh!t a true predetor would have no heart for humans and have killed her in 2 seconds
Wasn't horrible, about as good as the first film(8.5 if Predator is a 10), which surprised me. Was expecting total shit; got a passable action-horror flick.
The [SPOILER - highlight to read]: regular Predator had their honor code, so i don't know what the **** you whiners are whining about. It was the [SPOILER - highlight to read]: new breed that didn't.
Grace's character was shit and pointless, like he was written into the script as an after thought because they needed a twist and to fill in 10 extra minutes.
Fishbourne has become fatter and fatter; his acting seems to wither as a result. Shame, really.
I've noticed that about Fishbourne as well. He's been a doing a lot of shit movies with shit effort on his part. Seems like he's letting himself go.
Which is sad. There was a time when you'd see his name in the credits and think of a sophisticated and respectable black guy with nice shades and a sharp suit. Now you just think of a regular black guy.
Have you seen Armored? Ugh.

He's a [SPOILER - highlight to read]: serial killer and tries to kill the Israeli chick, while they're both trapped and presumably about to get slaughtered." It all seemed like an afterthought, like the producer said, "hey, we need a twist in this film, just add one".
I don't know what people are whining about either with the honor code?
i don't think the super preds had any code besides maybe not killing someone who is not armed like Topher grace was in the tunnel.
but when i came to fishburne if that had been a regular pred he would of wanted the trophy but the supers don't give a shit. that is why the plasma caster was always going off.
