I agree in part then think about the Xmen, Thanos, Rune Thor etc and start to disagree.

Thats all been very recent though. It all started with Ultimate X-Men. With exception of Thanos. This power up all started with ultimate Colossus who performed some of the most impressive strength feats performed by a Marvel character in about 10 years. During the previous (E.G. early 90's to early 00's) Class 100 meant 100 tonns. Trust me I've done the research. smile Now they are definitely making a come back. My theory i that they started to realise that D.C. characters where starting to really over power their own. Over the last few years with Secondary Mutation, She Hulks power up, King Thor, Scarlet Witch, Hyperion, Atlas, Hercules, BRB, Stardust and Thanos. Marvel have started to show how powerful their characters can be.

smile

Because neither of them invented Norse Mythology.
Is it really that hard to figure out?

Yes but Marvel uses other names (as far as i know they have no one called "Superman", wanna be yes but at least a own name) It just disturbs me that they have taken Thor, in this case they cant change the name.

Because he's THOR. What are they gonna name? It's mythology. It would be like renaming Hercules or Zeus.

You act like Marvel has a freaking patent for Thor.

Marvel would like to have I suspect smile put the little C in a circle on all Thors and not just "The Mighty" Thor! laughing

Ill get two images that i have around here. Hes more like the myth Thor than Marvel is. (design wise, not power). Altho i can pretty much tell you, that the closest any version had ever been to the original, was Red Norvell. Thats the one who they should had kept with.

And there arent any legalities to overcome. Myths are public domain. Thats why you have a Hercules at Disney, Marvel, DC, Image, Tv shows and so on.

Ya know what is a big mystery why was it that in Captain Marvel and Supermans last battle Captain Marvel said that Magic can only hurt Superman and not kill him?

That's BS. Superman isn't MORE vulnerable to magic. He's just AS vulnerable to magic. Magical fire would hurt him like it would hurt a normal human being.

Not as much as Marvel for what it seems. He stalemated Big Barda, while having a sligth edge. He doesnt seem Superman level of strenght and beyond.

But im honest in telling you, i never saw much about this version. If someone knows better (especially someone more into the new gods stories) they can give you a better rating.

Image Thor probably looks bad because its Larsen drawing it. In the savage Dragon Universe hes one of the strongest with Herakles. Has some of the "bad qualities" the myth Thor had. And raised to high levels. Hes is essentially a villain there, like Herakles was in the beginning for the Wonder Woman universe.
