 locations OF LOTR
the locations of LOTR are being used for other movies too.....
like some of the locations are used in prince caspian, the second movie from the chronicles of narnia....................
the locations in Prince Caspian look familiar it’s because the production shot in some of the same remote areas of New Zealand’s South Island that previously appeared as Middle Earth in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

That's actually pretty cool. And it makes sense, too, seeing as New Zealand has the capacity for great beauty in it's landscapes.
