Surfer couldnt even absorb(he needed a device from reed) or hold a portion of Ego's energy. Something that Quasar was able to do.

I take it you dont know who the manhunters are. They have been around for over 3 billion years. They were the first guardians before the GL Corps. In the scan you showed it appeared Guy didhnt even know it was a manhunter. It appears as if you didnt know that either.
A Manhunter would give SS a run for his money as well.
As far as raw blasting power, Surfer probably beats Hal by a smidge or two. I also think he has a leg up in the matter manipulation department. Surfer also has a big advantage in reaction times. And since Hal's constructs can be absorbed pretty easily (solid light, EM spectrum, yadda yadda) Surfer definitely has the tactic of absorb and counter, where Hal absorbing blasts of Power Cosmic is highly debatable at best.
And as to energy siphoning, Parallax is a billion times more powerful than Hal as a GL. And Doom is well... Doom. Stealing power is what he does.
Oh, and as to redirecting energy, Quasar pulled the same thing. Didn't phase Surfer in the least. He doesn't typically use enough power in each blast to actually hurt him...

Blasting power, i cant say who's is stronger. Hal as well as Surfer has blasted planted from what has been shown on this forum. Matter manipulation is also at a standstil on who has the edge. Reaction times could go either way. Both have good and bad showings of reaction time. To say one is faster than the other or has better reaction time, has yet to be proven. Hals blasts and constructs are easily absorbed by who? Black Hand who is a inventing genius, and a Manhunter. Surfers power has also been absorbed in the past. As well as redirected at him. Controlling of ALL energies is GL's fortay. I never said that Hal was an absoption expert, but he rarely does it if he does it at all. Control and redirect would suffice.
Hal isnt Quasar.

Constructs are made of solidified green light. Seeing as light is part of the EM spectrum, Surfer can control it. Not saying he can absorb the ring, but he can definitely take out as many constructs as he needs to. (that was what I meant by yadda yadda) And as far as reaction times go, Hal is human. with human reaction times. He can fly fast, but he doesn't react as well.

The power ring has many systems, from energy constructs to life support. All the functions were programmed by the Guardians, the ring's strengths as well as limitations. The Guardians of the Universe can change the programming, though the average ring wielder could not.
And any blast that is shot is energy, which Hal has control over as well. True Hal is human, but the ring warns and protects him from certain attacks. Giving him faster reaction times. Its not technically him, but he weilds the ring.
What do you mean by changing the programming? The only limitations the ring had was that it couldnt affect anything yellow, and needed to be recharged every 24 hours.

its mean that Guardians can let the ring do watever they want. if they wanted to they can take away every weakness from the ring like exp the ring needing charging after 24hours, being weak against yellow items. if the guardians wanted they can truly make the gl ring the most powerful weapon in the universe. but they wont do that cuss it would maker the user a good.
