Oh so youre talking aobut a GL changing the weakness? Everyone knows that a GL cant change that. If that was the case, it would have been happened. BUT there has been times where Hal was able to affect yellow. Whether it was fight it or defend against it.
Why did you bring up a GL reprogramming the ring anyway? What does that have to do with going against Surfer?
Doom owned Surfer and stole his powers. If Doom can do it, so can an intelligent GL.
Now surfer chooses to be weak on purpose, just like he chooses to get beat down. This surfer is a ....special kinda guy!

It's been talked about in this forum the whole time.
Hal took surfers powers quickly and easily. Stolen. Surfer didnt know what Hal was going to do when they touched hands.

Parallax isn't even comparable to a GL... The power difference is too huge to even mention Parallax feats in benefit of a GL.
And Doom beating Surfer=Hal beating Surfer? Doom beat Galactus, Doom beat BEYONDER, Doom beat all of Marvel Earth. Can Hal take any of those? Hell no.
How the hell is the ring autofiring gonna save Hal? Surfer can take little blasts from a GL ring. Or absorb them. Just because he hasn't doesn't mean he can't, he's directly absorbed light before. Once again, I'm not saying he can drain the ring, I'm saying he can absorb constructs and blasts. The speed difference goes to Surfer by a good margin.
And as to John absorbing Oan energy... Yeah, that's what the rings do. They are RUN by Oan energy. I'm sure the scans of Surfer absorbing a portion of a star is in this thread already somewhere...

How are you sure Surfer can absorb Oan energy directly? When weak Kyle owned him, why didnt he absorb the energy then when he needed it most?
