Considerable knowledge?
Like equating Cap to a human being?
I dunno about that. The real deal said he couldn't take cap in h2h either..

What about them-as I've said Spiderman has been written down alot over the years, losing to or being stalemated by people who, with his powerset, he should demolish. Oh and his reflexes are 15 x faster than a normal persons (and yes I do know Cap is far superior to nomal people)
I must be the only true Spider-man fan here. It seems as none here knows about Spidey. When Spider-man's spider sense is acting it causes his reflexes to increase 20-40 times faster than a human (depending on the level of threat). This makes him see things in slow motion (like bullets).
Here's another thing only true spider-man fans know. The spider-sense guides him out of the way of an attack. It also sometimes jerk his body away without his knowledge or permission (like when a human touches something hot and jerks away before they realize it was hot).
Your right hook scenerio contradicts these things along with him weaving through high calibur machine gun fire (He dodges left but another bullet is there). We spider-man fans don't like Spidey for no reason.
Impressive in human eyes indeed, but still a statue to Spidey.
Spiderman is superior to cap in every way (strength, speed, agility, etc.) except martial art skill. But Spidey's powers give him a fighting skill and style that is superior to cap's. For example, the highest ranking ninja has better fighting skills than I, but give me spider powers and my fighting skill automatically exceeds his (even if I hold back my strength to equal his).
And what part of common sense allows people to disregard every Cap/Spider-Man fight written by different writers? The "I don't like it; it didn't happen" part?
I'm not saying just because Spiderman's fights are riddled with PIS that they shouldn't be acknowledged, but to assume a lot of his fights don't have cis or pis is stupid.
Oh OK, cool...
Because the fans write the character, and the fans make the feats/fights, rather than writers... who do shit all but worship the character.
I hate the writers. Lazy mother fukkers.
Umm... ya there is.
Plot induced stupidity is always a constant (like for instance, if Hulk punches Thor into a mountain to stop the fighting), as is CIS most of the time. Even writers will acknowledge stuff along these lines.
For example, when Morrison recently said that it's bullshit that Batman can now make Darkseid bleed.
What about every fight Spidey loses? Is that due to plot induced stupidity?
Or what about everytime Spidey fights Cap? Surely we can't write off consistency.
I guess you missed the point I was making. CIS and PIS are terms fans deem to certain situations in comics. For example, the Spiderman fight with Firelord. Did the writer ever say that Spiderman should not be able to ko Firelord, or did fans determine this to be an instance of PIS which in doing so made their opinion more valid than the writers.
In these fights that we put two characters in there is numerous amounts of time where we regard our opinions, the fans, as holding more weight than what is written. So in the question of is Spiderman often affected by cis and pis in his fights, then the answer is yes, but can we disregard them because of this, no, because then we would be ignoring the majority of his fights.
And yes, there a many times that Spiderman did lose because of pis or cis. Right now I am reading through the entirety of Amazing Spiderman, and this is the case.

Of course they do, but it can simply be called shit, and hold the same weight. We just made a fancy name for it.
Why would the writer say that? He set it up. And Pis is subjective. For some, nothing is Pis, and for others, it's a common answer.
Of course, but that's mostly for one time occurrences. Like Spider-Man KO'ing Firelord. Or Spider-Man cement trucking Hulk. Consistency can never be overridden no matter how much someone cries (Unless someone absolutely f*cks up everytime).
So, how do we acknowledge the fact that pis/cis play a part in a lot of what Spidey does, but at the same time ignore it? Why even bring it up if that's the case? Pis is often used to disregard things... and if cis plays a part in his losses... well, then it's relevant here anyway.
And writers still>us. It's just when writers f*ck up, that we believe ourselves superior.
OK, cool. What kind of pis are we talking about here, anyway? Getting hit, and knocked out; or running out of breathe underwater or something?
So, anyway, do you consider Cap to be a match for Spider-Man, or do you consider Spider-Man to stomp Cap.
