Also getting rid of recommendations. Not serving a real function anymore, and there's lots of great ones I can't keep up with in terms of recommendations.
Also updated the thread total, eliminating "Original" threads from the count where there has been an Update and both are listed. Which means we have 382 threads. Good stuff.
If not, may I please reserve the rights to do it? He's always tickled my fancy on the peripherals of my comic knowledge but I fell in love with the sociopath during Dark Reign.
Another person who is slightly underrated and very much needs a respect thread is the CEO of the Olympian gods, Amadeus Cho. I would so love if someone would make one for this guy. I would myself, but I don't own alot of his comics.
Digi, you're a terrible moderator and should be stripped of you power. You insult an amazing comic book character you probably know little about, and in turn that insults me. And if anyone's an insult to anything, you're an insult to this website. In addition, you're a failure as a knowledgeable comic book fan. What baffles me is there characters far worse than Shocker, and somehow you find him to be the worst character created. I don't know why you hate him so much. Spider-Man, perhaps the best character created, has been beaten by Shocker on multiple occasions. Perhaps, you only had in mind the terribly created Ultimate Shocker, but you should really check your sources before you make such a judgement of a character. How about take a look at the topic I so kindly created. Besides, I don't understand the problem with leaving it in the directory.
The Shocker thing is a running joke, which honestly very few will probably get anymore. I like to amuse myself though. The only reason it isn't added yet is because I haven't done a new round of updates for the last few threads that have been posted.
It's a joke I'm very unaware of. But I'd like to point out that I'm a big fan of Shocker. I don't think it's amusing when somene insults a character I love. Especially in such a childish way.
You're going to have to step back for a second for some perspective here. You're upset because someone insulted a fictional character that you're a fan of. And then you learn that it was in jest and you persist in the irrational hatred.
I've spent the past 6 years having people get upset at me for everything I say because I'm in a position of some power on this site. I've had to learn to just ignore it if I want to enjoy anything about KMC. I can't help people getting uptight about my posts, so I'm not going to worry if you continue with your current train of thought. I'm just letting you know it's not needed.
I'm sorry you felt insulted by the initial post, but I can't apologize every time someone overreacts to a post. Step outside your bubble for a minute and realize that you don't have to trade barbs with me over a comic book character. Thanks.
Why don't you explain this so called running joke? You saying I'm overreacting is a bit of an overstatement. Just look at that post. Think about it for a moment. How would you feel if someone said that about a character you love. 'Oh, Cookie Monster is such a dumb kiddy character.' Okay, your statement is worse. I think you can tone down the insults a little bit. Maybe you should try to get along with everybody instead of insulting every character you don't like. You don't have to come to this site to make jokes about those characters. And if you think Shocker's so dumb, then you should finally take a look at the topic I created.
I wouldn't give a ****. I don't get personally offended about something as frivolous as others' opinions about fictional characters. That's my entire point. This is like fighting with me because I don't eat your favorite breakfast cereal, and is a classic example of overreaction.
I've read Spider-Man for most of my life. I own a copy of every issue of ASM (albeit some are in digital format when Marvel released them on CDs). Shocker's a villain I'm indifferent to, neither great nor horrible imo. He's had some good stories, but isn't a feature villain that has had some of the best like Doc Ock or Norman. I've seen your thread, it's nothing I haven't seen before but deserves being added to the list. And it will be. That was always going to be the case, and if you were initially offended or confused you could've asked before flipping out over what amounts to a link posted on a site very few actually read anymore.
