i liked the look of this when he trailers were coming out, and i played an exclusive demo at my local GameStation store...it looked really good. what do people actually think of it, wondering if i should dish out £40 yet...or wait til it becomes cheaper

Its an ok game. Besides the fusions there isnt nothing really new. The story follows the Civil War storyline. I dont regret buying the game but I shouldve waited (theres ur answer).

It is a pretty glitchy game, very short and isn't a whole lot new. But personally I don't regret my pre order. I've played through this game at least 10 times now.

I am so disappointed right now. Todays DLC character reveal was Psylocke. However, GameSpot apparently forgot to blot out the characters on their video, so we now know who all the characters of the first DLC pack are. They are

Carnage
Psylocke
Magneto
Cable
Black Panther

Not a single enjoyable character in that fuggin' pack.

I'm glad we get Psylocke. She made me want the Wii version of this game back, now that she's in it, I'm glad. The Wii version sucked imo. I also love Cable, and Carnage, so I'm glad this DLC came out. Not sure about Black Panther or Magneto, not to interested in playing as them.

Well I'm glad they gave us Psylocke and Cable (Mags was a nice surprise).

Still waiting for Cyclops and Sentry.

I'd like to see Exodus and A-Bomb too, though I don't see it happening even if one of them is in the game (A-Bomb is just not in demand).

I say this game is a step backwards, fusion is the only thing that makes this game enjoyable or even a tad new...the camera is worse than before...the limited powers are a joke, the limited alternate costumes, and how can they make any game like this without cyclops?...i cant download anything so unless there is another way to put them on the playstation 3...i dont see me even keeping this game...id rather play the first one sad

Two steps back (or more) to one step forward isn't progress to me, but to each their own.

That's the thing, I really don't see how its two steps back at all. It's like a small step forward.

Was it really a step forward? The controls may have been more smooth along with the graphics but i look at that as an expectation for a new installment. The only thing that was added in this one were the fusions and that came with the removal of the customization options. For a game that claims to be be an RPG it was definitely a step backwards to remove the customization.

I just think that the customization was dumbed down for more casuals or that it was geared to focus more on customizing your team than the individual characters on your team. Perhaps even both.

And its overall a step forward for me because first and foremost, this game is about the characters. I've never had so much fun playing as even the characters I hate.

I enjoyed the game and all but really, the customization was completely removed. It wasn't just dumbed down. The only element of customization were the team boosts.
