Depends on what kind of annoying fan you're talking about... fans, fanboys... or just fans born out of the hype
I think it's the latter since this thread it's pretty much about the hype TDK has going on, and it's the one that pretty much will die in a few months:
for what I gather, the "OMG TDK rulez" "Y so serious?" and so on is what annoys people... that, and the IMDB thing
BTW: I'm not trying to insult TH, but I find it ironic he made this thread... after he had a "Y so serius" sig and OTF thread...

I agree. It is the latter ones; although I hope it doesn't take a few months to die out. They could spend that time hyping up 'Terminator: Salvation' and screw that one up too.
Fans don't annoy me, but you know what is really pissing me off at the moment. All the complaints that this kind of film(The Dark Knight) is what fuels knife culture and it's going to influence lots of children to grow up and become violent shits...
Basically, here in the UK, a lot of parents and so on are complaining that the 12A certificate is too low for the new Batman film and that it should be a 15 certificate instead.
It makes me laugh that the parents are complaining about taking their children to see it, HELLO, it WARNS you that it's suitable for 12 years and over, and the A means you as the parent can decide to take your 6 year old to see it or not... plus there are warnings before the film, on the trailers, on posters about what is in the film.

Bandwagons fans...people that became Batman fans AFTER TDK. But it happens with all franchises...except for The Matrix. Seem like everyone jump out the wagon with that one....
I have to say as one of the people who didn't like Batman Begins THAT much (it was good but kind of dry IMO) and was going into the Dark Knight expecting it to be way overhyped and in no way shape or form possibly as good as it was being hyped up to be, I found myself blown away and I am a tough critic.
I do get how some people can be annoyed with all the hype though. But I do think it is one of the best movies made, probably the best of 2008 so far and the best super hero movie ever period so while there is a LOT of hype around it I think for once the movie is as good as the hype around it.

That's exactly what I don't understand about parents now, they take their kid(s) to see something scary, knowing full well what's in store, and then when their kid actually gets scared, they want to complain. Some parents now adays are just straight up retarded.
