what will you do if abrams produces a jedi with screen feats that could humiliate khan in a brutal fashion?
i mean...he did confess to not caring much about star trek, while with star wars he has the weight of the world on his shoulders as a director and a life-long classic trilogy fan. what would you do? would you flip out? would finally let go of your hate and embrace the force?

I hardly doubt that at this point but I am objective to a fault. Right now Khan rapes force users. I do not like to waste time on speculation. Abrams hated trek but I doubt he hates his own trek. He did make it Star Wars like but I only see this as a win. I don't hate the force I hate the fanboys the force brings. To me it's about as bad as religious fanaticism.

yes star wars has a large amount of irrational fanboys, but we're not all like that. you should have a chat with some star wars expanded-universe fanboys and you'll see a truer meaning of fanwanking. that aside, i disagree that it's primarily fanboys that you're up against. you do seem to not want to acknowledge the power of the force when it's pretty much everything that makes a jedi/sith powerful.
the real issue is that george lucas wasnt really into depicting feats of brute force and h2h combat like these next-gen filmmakers. where i'm getting at is that it's possible that jj will change that. i really hope not, but for entirely different reasons than you.
i guess my point is: prepare your jimmies this december.

I do acknowledge the power of the force but I won't dismiss the time that takes place with the feats and the cherry picked selection of the feats used by the fanboys as instant force paralysis.
I won't run from facts. If that does change then maybe a Jedi or softy can stand up against Khan and make it interesting. As it stands now in character Khan IMO kills them.
I'm actually excited to see what Abrams can do considering how amazing he's made the nu trek.
quan you argue most SW feats on the assumption that max-h2h cancels out the force. that's simply not true.
also, george lucas was not consistent with feats, which is why it's extremely easy to cherry pick from your side.
for example: in RotJ when luke fought the rancor. luke should have at least had the ability to knock it over using the force, but he didn't. yet he could presumably levitate an x-wing in the previous film and trained for year after that. you would likely take that to mean that luke was unable to knock over the rancor....but the truth is he didn't because it wouldnt be a very tense movie moment. it's storytelling and the hero has to be in some sort of peril. also we're talking about a franchise that's over 35 years old. more inconsistencies will occur in 35 years than 4-year-old nutrek

Guns cancel out the force. It's about reaction time this notion of the force conquers all simply isn't true.
So what ? Clone wars, comics books, etc. I haven't just pulled things from the films and we have like five or six more on the way. If anything they have had over a hundred times over the screen time or feat opportunities than the Nu Treks have alongside Abrams himself directing 7.
I have been debating for the most part prequel characters whose feats and quickness make the originals pale in comparison.
I get that but let's see what Luke's capable of under Abrams.
Who is the force fighting ? It's the Jedi who only use the force they aren't the force, dummy. Watch order 66 and tell me how dem force users ended up doing for the most part.
