It is then that you sense them, as if a curtain has lifted from a stage and revealed the actors. Amongst the audience are sprinkled four people.
The first you sense the best. He is a Nautolan, an amphibious species, but he seems to lack pigmentation as he is ghostly white. He wears a heavy dark blue overcoat, and sports a metal chestplate. Small wires dig into his skin at various points. He is staring at you and smiling.
The next one you see is a well-built man, not unlike yourself, with dark tousled hair and five o'clock shadow, wearing a black sleeveless shirt with a gold-colored chevron across the chest. His left arm is blatantly cybernetic, and he is bickering with someone.
That someone is the third person, who is wearing a glaringly red hooded cloak. The hood is down and you see a girl with a tense but beautiful face, her skin ivory and her hair red. She is arguing casually with the second man.
The third is a rugged fellow with combed dark hair and thick sideburns, wearing a beaten brown leather jacket and a gray shirt. At his belt are a pair of heavy pistols, which he looks very comfortable with. He has edged away from the other three and is watching you quietly.
"Well done, Xavier!" Cralt says. "I am most impressed! We shall have to patch you up and put you against another unworthy contestant, hmm?"

Xavier takes a moment to eye the four beings before meeting the man with side burns eyes. He only gives him a glance as he answers Cralt.
"We want someone worth our time." Xavier says coldly before going to get patched up.

"Strong words, warrior," Cralt comments, puffing on his cigar before clenching it in his teeth. He turns to look to the side of his thrown and shouts "DOCTOR!" and a young man with a satchel runs forwards and begins patching you up. Xavier's injuries consist mainly of harsh bruises that he applies a healing salvent to, removing leaving Xavier on 15 damage.
Cralt starts searching for a new contestant in the fight to match up against you. The bleached Nautolan then raises a hand and gestures to the muscular man.
"I have your fighter!" the Nautolan says. "May I present Galder Starkiller to the ring."
You have heard that name before, Xavier.

Starkiller... it was a name buzzing around the Temple about four years ago, shortly after the Naboo Invasion. He was involved with a group of Dark Jedi that initiated a fight against the police on Malastare that ended in ridiculous amounts of bloodshed. It was an event he was notorious for being at. He also has a reputation as a formidable warrior.
The crowd titters as the fearsome Starkiller enters the arena without the approval of Cralt, eager to fight. Cralt has dropped his cigar and looks very uncomfortable.
"Well well, looks like I might have some competition," Galder sneers, cracking his neck just as you did before taking on the droid.

Upon remembering his name Xavier turns back to the arena. He doesn't even wait for Cralt to approve as he begins moving back towards the center.
"Galder Starkiller, perhaps you will be the one," Xavier says calmly.

"Fair enough," Galder says, smiling. "Maybe one of my fingers, eh?"
As you have Counterstrike and Feint in, only one will really have effect here, giving you +2 dice. But with Street Fighter in, it is moot. Just some tactics to think about here.

Xavier will go ahead and tap counterstrike then and bring in Dodge and Weave.
Xavier doesn't wait and begins to try and attack Galder with some hard combination attacks.

Unfortunately for Xavier, it is not just him that wants to start things off with a bang. Already delving into cheating, Galder gives Xavier initiative and intercepts Xavier's punches with his sturdy mechanical arm, having tapped Unbreakable to ignore damage this turn.
Then, with a flick of his wrist, a short flat vibroknife extends from Galder's knuckle. He responds to Xavier's attack by slashing him cleanly across the forearm, tapping Counterstrike AND Feint to garner six successes for 9 damage.
Galder looks at the blood on his cybernetic hand and laughs.

Galder gives Xavier initiative again, letting the attack come. Xavier plows into the Dark Jedi with one hard blow to the chest, knocking Galder back a few steps with six damage. The knife-wielding fighter tries nothing fancy this turn, having only a single die to attack with that shows up as a 2.
And I spoke incorrectly- Galder doesn't actually have Feint. Unfortunately for Xavier, Galder had rolled a bunch of 6s last round, so it doesn't change his damage but for one point...

Galder gives up initiative again.
Using Strike gives Xavier a pool of 8 on the first attack, as his fist becomes a blur. He hits Galder again for six damage and then for four damage, the combination punch landing squarely against Galder's chest. You hit his solar plexus with the last one, impairing his incoming attack by three dice. He tries to cut you but only swipes by you, for four damage on one success.

Galder continues to surrender initiative, seeing what Xavier is doing before launching his own attack. But then Xavier goes to town on Galder with a nerve strike to the abdomen... but only rolling four successes on fifteen dice, Xavier does five damage to his opponent.
Galder responds by smashing the side of his hand into a nerve in Xavier's arm, tapping Focused Blow so that his next attack is at -2 dice. In the process he does 9 damage by rolling seven successes.
