Maybe it is Onslaught then. Loeb has ties to Onslaught, Onslaught has reason to have a beef with Hulk and he's the evil aspect of Xavier which might explain the X.

I don't see anything as complex being behind this whole Red Hulk mystery.

Samson seems an obvious false lead, but whoever it is must be known to SHIELD, in their non-Hulk guise as the ID scanner recognised Red Hulk.

Miek would be a nice 'closure' to the WWH sub-plot of Miek being King Hulk's pupil and learning all the "wrong lessons" from Hulk's conduct. the hatred would definitely be in character, though the cunning does seem a bit beyond Miek's rudimentary thought process.

I'm beginning to suspect that Red Hulk may actually be some clone of Hulk made by SHIELD or someone, maybe a variation on Hulk using his DNA...

Well the eye thing could be like the lizard? Healing factorish thingamajig? I have been trying to catch up though.

it's gotta be samson. I mean he has been around the hulk for a long time hence "ruining everyone's lives". He has had previous exposure to gamma. has good fighting abilities, can get into military base, knows stuff bout shield, and knows thor rather thorough. It's either that or Talbot who never really died
