Considering how often Thor has been in space, I'd've figured Odin had some contingency plan to prevent loss of control (though Thor did mention something about his "Father's absence").

I wonder if the Surfer is taking notes... shifty

Here's an idea: Odin's dead, right? So maybe the enchantment wore off when he died. Thor doesn't realize that he has to set it up himself now to get it to work

I think that originally they didnt intend for that but later will fall back on it similarly to how they basicly removed several of WWH's feats by making them not count later (BB really being a skrull, Ironman injecting blanks, etc)

But wasn't that BB a Superskrull with the powers of all the Illuminati? I'd think King Hulk whooping that is more impressive then whooping regular Black Bolt.

Dunno if this has been brought up but could Rulk be Angmo II (aka the Red King, former emperor of Sakaar (Planet Hulk)

maybe the energies that world breaker hulk released empowered red and a-bomb, the thing is though that rick and samson were there at the time...... shifty

Yeah, people have to remember that whoever Rulk is, he had access to Gamma Base. That weeds out a lot of the more abstract guesses.

But Onslaught in his current form could've possessed Samson. I agree Samson is the most logical answer, I just don't see his motives.

Samson is just a red herring. He's waaaay too obviously Rulk to actually be Rulk.

Doesn't fit. Odin has been dead for a long time now and the enchantment has never failed before.

An the zero gravity excuse doesn't account for the lightning coming from the hammer when Hulk picks it up as that would only appear if someone was deemed worthy and actually possessed Thor's powers.

Maybe the enchantment merely prevents those unworthy from lifting it up. But if you manage to lift it up, you can use it. Or maybe the very nature of Mjolnir impacting against Thor created a reaction that resulted in crackling lightning. Either works. The herald Airwalker and Mad Thinker's Awesome Android both picked up Mjolnir also and used it against Thor. I don't know if there was crackling lightning though.

Iron Man has also carried Mjolnir in space long before this incident. He was carrying it to a ship I think, and when Mjolnir felt the slight gravity of the ship, the enchantment returned and trapped Iron Man's arm underneath the handle. As long as there is the slightest bit of gravity, the enchantment sticks. Drax and Thor were fighting in outer space in orbit around the Goddess' world in Infinity War. They were both standing on a very very small asteroid, like smaller than a house's rooftop. When Drax went to pick it up, he couldn't. Even with the Power Gem.

Kinda disappointing.Thor may have been weakned from the restoring of all the Asgardians and the rebuilt of Asgard itself, but Red Hulk can't be nowhere near his power levels.Thor still possess the Odin Power, and all he did was just punching and hammering, and also he was scared sometimes. This Red Hulk bull.sh.it has jumped the shark.Punching out a Watcher, what's gonna happen next, he'll take out Galactus and The Celestials in a slugfest?
Someone who has access to the gammabase and has been mutated into a Hulk, cannot just be above Thor after the reboot of the Thunder God series, and Uatu, could've blinked Red Hulk out of existence, Watchers are cosmic beings, Loeb is becoming ridicoulus.

I think Rulk being Onslaught merged with Doc Samson is the best option smile
