Play the game and you'll find out.

You can't open the electric barrier gates without a specific item you acquire later on in the game. Don't worry; you'll get there, eventually.

yep, you are right
funny nonetheless
as is this
quote: ince its acquisition of Rocksteady parent Eidos, Square-Enix has announced plans to use similar DRM in its upcoming Final Fantasy XIII, where any attempt to use magic will always result in summoning a rampaging horde of Chocobos to crush the party, the player, and anyone they've ever loved.

See while I would legally buy the game, I'd also be tempted to download it just to see that happen.
Who doesn't want mad Chocobos to come and kill them?

That's a pretty sweet way about going with DRM.
I would say it would work at the beginning but cracks will start to appear again I suppose.

Cool, How tough wa s"Hard" mode?
Annoying in the fact that you basically have to use your instincts when it comes to countering at the right time (there's no indication or anything whatsoever that tells you when an opponent's about to attack).
Heightened awareness is present with enemies in hard mode too (at times I was like "How the **** did they know I was there?!"), but you get used to it.

I played on Hard first, and didn't do challenges until I finished the Story, so I actually thought they'd taken the counter marker out of the game.
Once you learn to watch the enemies on screen, though, it's not too hard.

I finally got the "40x combo" achievement, last night...sweet.
watching the enemy movements when they are about to strike is key to counter they attacks even though there's no "spidey sense" to warn you about it.
freeflow fighting is so badass..

I got it on the Rumble in the Jungle challenge. Its not too hard to counter without paying attention to the sign. Then again, sometimes they hit me even when the sign pops up.

Currently playing this. It's fun, I've enjoyed it. A bit too linear for my taste, but the presentation is top notch, and I'm getting the groove of the combat system. Riddler is hilarious, and the voice acting is as good as I've seen in a game. Maybe ever.

I actually got it in-game, when you get to the second room of the mansion (main hall I think it is) there's like 10 grunts to fight there..
the problem most of the time is button mashing. I'm pretty sure you will always counter as long as you pressed "Y" in time and you haven't pressed any other button before it.
the key is to time button-pressing..

Hmm, I guess so. It was most annoying during the Poison Ivy fight though, since you also had to watch out for the vines that drain you of your energy.

Yeah. Button-mashing is really a no-no in this game if you're goin' to do well at it, contrary to popular belief. It's all about the timing.

Just like Batman, isn't that funny?
It seems most people get the impression this is a button mashing game.

It can give that impression when you first play it.

Its easy, you just need good timing.
Press block right away if someone shows a spark above their head.
Jump around to cause downtime so your enemies get up faster so you don't punch someone thats already on the floor which ends up losing your streak.
I usually punch a guy three times, jump over the person thats about to attack me, punch him two times, thats 5 points right there to use a combo on another guy to take him down real fast
repeat repeat repeat
