I agree...and i always get surprised by an older actor who comes to our attention(LOTR) and when you see them again and again...you wonder where they have been..and why have we not seen them before.....then before you know it...you watch older movies..and go...Wow! thats.....(insert name)....i did that with ian Mckellen (gandalf)...when i watched the shadow...i was like holy s*** thats gandalf(he played the scientist)...i wonder what he has done that will make me do the same?
Im surprised im growing so fond of the character because I truly despised his character in LoTR. besides the actual story lines, hes the main reason I watch the show.

Another winner....they sure know how to keep you interested....those observers starting to feel emotions was done perfectly....i also get the feeling we are getting closer to peter finding out where he really is from...its going to be great!
John Noble is a hell of an actor. His scenes are always so genuine. That last scene he had with Astrid was powerful and they didnt say much. He should be nominated for an Emmy. As for Astrid, I wanted her to surprise us and kicked the 2 intruders asses. It didnt happen =/

John Noble is amazing as Walter. Definitely one of the highlights of the show. I used to think Anna Torv was good back in Season 1 but she just irritates me nowadays.
"For fans of Fringe, EW is reporting Irish actress Orla Brady (pictured after the jump) has landed the role of Peter’s mom/Walter Bishop’s wife on Fringe. While she won’t debut till early next year, it will be very interesting to see how she is introduced, as fans of the show know where she must be coming from…"

Am i right..that they never really tell us what happened to peters mom?..all he says is.."its a long story"?...or am i just not remembering correctly?
Watching season one on DVD....did anyone know that the symbol shown at the breaks...is actually a code?....according to the extras...each symbol in whatever configuration is a letter of the alphabet...and each episode spells a word...but the way it was brought up.....it could just be a rumor they are perpetuating?
