Gently probing the areas where you were shot reveals soreness, but not the stinging sensation of a raw and open wound.

Yes, there is a button on the side of the tank for hailing the nurse.

Okay, I will press the button then to call a nurse.

The nurse comes in. A symbol on her uniform reveals that you are still on Zehat. As does the guard from the Museum that walks in behind her.

"Oh, you are awake," the nurse says, smiling. "How do you feel?"

"I feel better, thank you. How is Raskae?"

Her smile fades.

"He will live, but the neurotoxins that he was poisoned with were a rare blend," the nurse tells you. "If the doctor's assessment is correct, he may have already sustained severe nerve and tissue damage despite our treatments."

"W-what does that mean" Con asked, not quite sure what to make of it.

"He... may not be able to move properly," the nurse says. "It will require extensive therapy, especially at his age. It may even be some time before he is even conscious."

She has basically announced the end of Raskae's career as a Jedi Master to you. He will not be able to further your training in his severely weakened state, nor will he be fit for active duty.

"I understand. I will need to contact the Council immediately, may I be released?"

After checking out your vital signs, the nurse consents.

What are you going to tell them? You are not sure what happened after you were shot, by the way. The guard, Pum'bet's lieutenant, has come to fill you in.

Well, I was going to tell them what happened to us (though I think they probably already know more than me), but specifically wanted to know what I should do, seeing as Raskae, whose mission it was, is unavailable. But I guess I will first let myself be informed by the guard.

The guard tells you that, after he checked on you, he gave chase to the thieves that had stolen the Votive of Light. They ran to the entrance of the Museum, where Medraud covered Medraut as he forced open one of the blast doors manually. The guards were unable to pursue with the high rate of blasterfire being put out by the pair, and the lieutenant did not want to lose any more lives.

The thieves vanished and have not been sighted on Zehat. He thinks that they must have left the world.

I thank him for the summary, but I think I should probably contact the Jedi now. Probably the ordinary procedure in such a case.

Indeed. The Jedi Council has already heard of the events- the media is going nuts with this one, that two Jedi were subdued, many men killed, and a priceless artifact snatched in a daring raid on the impenetrable Museum of Zehat. But Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, speaking with you on the Council's behalf, is relieved to hear that their Jedi have survived and are on the path to recovery.

"It is grave news of Raskae's health, but he will recover, in time," Ki-Adi-Mundi grimly states. "But... we may have to transfer your training to another mentor."

Preposterous, Con. You and Raskae have a deep connection that could only be manufactured by commitment to your training and personal understanding. Nobody can replace him!

"A new master? I...we don't know whether Master Raskae will recover. I have been with him for years...but...I want to find the thieves. To return the artifact and bring them to justice for what they did."

"Pursuing such dangerous suspects will require further investigation," Ki-Adi-Mundi says. "Due to your recent involvement, we feel it may be better to hand the task over to other Knights. Master Rand is nearby."

This is frustrating for you, Con. First the Jedi Council takes an unneccessary risk in putting their priceless artifacts in the care of inexperienced guards, then they put you in charge of guarding it, then you are assaulted and wounded, your Master possibly crippled, in an attack that would have even taken place if the Order had not put out their artifacts for display in the first place. And now they are not even letting you take on the pursuit of the two men who hurt you and robbed the place!

Con feels his emotions build up, he is angry at the situation, but more importantly himself. He feels he could have stopped it, and blames himself the most. But he will try to convince Mundi and the Council to let him go: "Master Mundi, I know I can be of help towards the mission. And as long as my master is incapacitated, I am able to aid another mission"

"I am afraid not, Con. You require guidance, especially now. Sending you to deal with the men who dealt terrible blows to your Master... is not the wisest choice. The Council wishes to recall you to Coruscant."

"Yes, Master" Con concedes unwillingly, "will I bring Master Raskae?"

"For now, he must rest on Zehat," Ki-Adi-Mundi says. "He will be safe there."

Returning to Coruscant means that Con will be spending the rest of his time in the Temple, waiting for a new mentor to be assigned to him... meaning he will get nothing done in the way of catching Medraud and Medraut.

Hmm, well, do I have an idea how to possibly find the Medraudts on my own?
