How is the series ever-disappointing? I think it gets some things right, much better than Attack of the Clones.

Not really. Just because you find it amusing doesn't make it so.

You got what? The answer to my original question to Ordo? Share man, share. How has the series been ever disappointing?

I have written reviews for every episode 1-16. The rest are comming as is an review of season one. You can read them in each thread.
What queeq understands is that I'm not sharing because you said "much better than Attack of the Clones."

In other words you like Attack of the Clones over The Clone Wars.

Hell, I'd take the films over the television show any day, even if AOTC isn't my favorite.

I think the production value alone warrants that.
*would die for live action clone wars movie*

Oh yeah, that'd be nice. The live action, not your death.

I wish we had the support for a Republic Commando film. If GI-Joe, Resident Evil, and Final Fantasy can be "successful" models for films, RC should make the cake.
If Lucas is really concerned about expanding Star Wars, I think he should liscense the rights to such a "Military Star Wars" film.
I never bought the argument why live action was not used from the series. They said that the CGI would look dated in a few years and that it wouldn't provide any creativity. Well, I'd like to tell Lucas that Anakin riding the giant-butt-creature on Naboo looks very dated and that style is still very customiable. Its like saying "I'm not going to shoot it with a camera, because all films look the same."
You'd think with all the models and etc from ROTS and imo the general success of CGI clones that this would have been more on the radar. I guess he dindn't feel it was kid friendly enough. But if he can liscense a Star Wars "horror" novel...ew....he could liscense a willing filmmaker to make RC.
When I'm rich one day, I will finance it *shakes fist*

One day.
Well, once I'd have totally objected to that kind of thing, out of fear of diluting the franchise. But since Lucas has shown to be a master at that himself, someone else might in fact do a better to job.

No kidding. One day we'll have to sit down and figure out if it was worth it.
TPM broke the damn though. It split the fan base which has subsequently fractured into millions of little cliques.
I don't know if that's a good thing, but I would have never been a fan without the prequels. Maybe it was worth it for me?

I on't care about fan base, I want good movies. Especially in a franchise I love. More crap makes the good episodes also look bad.

RC would be kickass as a movie, but hey, those Galaxy of Fear books weren't THAT bad! I enjoyed some of them.
