UPDATE
Finally got in the game, so far its *ok* but it feels like a crappy console port on the pc, graphics aren't exactly that great(its still a demo) and the multiplayer gameplay was extremely laggy(shitty p2p for demo, dedicated servers for final).
Controls felt clunky too. I will wait for an official review before buying.
i didn't have that much lag once i lowered the settings, tbh.
the game itself, i suck at multiplayer, so i can't really judge. loving how the aliens are animated, though. it's almost exactly like it is in the movies...
i got killed a lot, but that's down to me being shit at multiplayer.
i enjoyed it, though. very reminiscent of AVP 2 imo. i can tell already though that aliens are going to be an absolute b*tch to hit with a pulse rifle, and i'm not that bad a shot.
it is kind of terrifying to play as a human though because the heartbeat/movement sensor starts blaring when enemies are around you and it beeps faster the closer people are to you so its kind of terrifying when its going off and you cant see anybody
i spent the last minute of the last round sitting in a corner freaking out because my sensor was blaring but i couldnt see anyone

Dissappointed to see that it was only a FFA Death Match in the demo, but I still enjoyed it.
First I played as a Human, and with the motion detector it got pretty creepy. A human played pretty much like any FPS, and the detector did help a lot.
Then I played as an Alien. Very cool, but controls will take some time getting used to. The alien can climb everywhere, so every now and then I was suddenly running across the walls and upside down on the roof and just got confused and disoriented as hell. Many of my prey got away from me because I was ****ing aroind on the ceiling looking the wrong way.
But I had one excellent moment. I was an Alien, met a human player, was going to jump him, screwed up and he got in a couple of good shots, but I got away. The result was that this guy knew I was around somewhere, but not where. I crawled up on the ceiling, and was right above him, and then I pressed the Hiss button. All it does is let out a creepy Alien hiss that all nearby players can hear, and it was just hilarious watching him snapturn around constantly looking for me, but like in the movie, he did not look straight up. After messing with him with Hissing, I jumped down behind him, and got one of the possible one-button kills (you need to approach from behind and press X when prompted), which resulted in me grabbing him, and impaling him with my tail. Just epic. Then I got killed by a Predator...
It's a slower game that I thought it would be. It seems the Aliens are way overpowered. Three shotgun blasts up close and the buy was still alive. While, one shot from the Aliens leaves me defenseless and then I die.
Wasn't too impressed. It all depends on the SP if I'm going to get the game this month, or wait two years.
Preds are top of the top..
+ heavy hitting melee..
+ dashing attacks that always meet their mark (unlike alien)..
+ a great weapon loadout
+ vision modes tailored to wipe out the other species
+ option to vault to safety.
I dont see a single fault in their style.. so much so that I believe they are the best starting species and take the least effort to top charts
Marine is mid..
+ weapon loadouts take down any alien or predator fairly easily..
+ having crap for visibility is made up for by having a handy motion sensor that even tells you the range of the closest blip..
+ being able to bunt an incoming enemy and unload even more ammo before you maybe die?..
keep cool, watch your tracker, and stay sharp to top the kill charts
Alien I believe to be the worst of the 3 (which isnt a bad thing because they are still very effective.. but just out of the 3 I find alien to be last place)
- clunky wall running.. (I remember it being much better in the old pc title)
- a dash-attack that almost doesnt ever connect..
- also not being able to go toe-to-toe with a predator in melee combat, due to predators insane stun / damage
- having possibly the lowest HP in the game
- tail constantly animates so you cant really stay hidden in the dark as well as you should
+ amazing sprint and movement speed
+ low to the ground
+ vision mode is the best bar-none
+/- heavy attack is very long ranged, but again is outclassed by pred
be a very careful and vulture like if you want to top the charts.. playing reckless will get you facerolled
my 2 cents.. feel free to make your own assessment of their pro's / con's
