How can you have a favourite director? They dont make the story to a film? all they do is tell people how to act, and tell CGI people how to do something. For instance tarintino, he hasnt done anything special. Peter Jackson did quite a good job with LOTR but its the story line designers that count not the directors.

Aside from the fact that some directors do indeed write the story, directing isnt that cut and dry.
Its a bit more difficult then it sounds to pass what is on paper into film.

niether of those are your favorite.. there are people i think are better then others but might not make the movies i enjoy the most

you might not like his work but you do know QT also does writing

Some directors do actually write their own stories tho they sometimes don't... but still, you have to wonder why people credit the directors instead of the scriptwriters or something, yeah?

Julien Temple- Fith and the fury, great rock and roll swindle

Quentin Tarrantino- KILL BILL 1 AND 2, Pulp fiction (amazing film) Jackie brown, and resivoir dogs.

Don Letts- the punk rock movie.

and others i'll save for later.

Guy Richie is the best director coz he did 'lock stock and two smoking barrels' and that film ownz ass.

Peter Jackson was good at directing brain dead but LOTR wasnt very well directed.
