funnily enough, i'm living in calgary right now, and most people i've talked to at work use english english rather than the american variety. tis strange...

What's strange about Canadians not speaking American English?

We're Canadian, not American. Both countries were British colonies but we got Independence differently. The monarchy is still represented in our gov't.
