Seriously, I don't know if anyone else has had this crap happen to them or if it's just me, but i'd love to know because it's really been bothering me:
I have had some of the worst concert experiences of my life going to the past few shows. I LOVE music and hope to pursue a career in it, and going to shows was my favorite thing to do, but now it's just horrible. and I can't even enjoy my favorite bands because people simply SUCK. I've even talked to a lot of band members about this and they've said it's kinda sickening but is happening at most of the venues around the country they've played at.
People are extremely rude and disrespectful lately.
Every show is a huge fight.
I hate scene kids, they're annoying and gross, most people hate them too, when is that damn trend ever going to go away?!
The older crowds were way better and seemed more passionate about the music rather than just getting into fights or the front row.
What happend to all the awesome punk, goth, and NORMAL people? If you're not dressed up like some vampire you're called a poser.
People are just really immature and know how to act at a show, but just act retarded.
I'm not some stuck up priss either. Shows should be great places to meet people, have fun, and not have to worry about watching your back. I used to meet loads of great people, now no one even talks to you. I dunno, I just felt like posting a rant haha.
This just drove me over the edge and makes me never want to go to another show around here again!!!
Like a show I went to a few days ago just made me hate people at shows 100x more.
We waited for 3 hours to see the used, got front row, and were having an awesome time. then some crowdsurfer who wouldn't stop crowd surfing, knowing everyone kept on dropping her because she was huge, smashed into the back of my head and i smacked my face off the rail. i was bleeding and about to pass out (this has NEVER happend to me), and no one would move for the guard to lift me out even though he was yelling. So I turned around and pushed back, still no one would move! Then i just pushed through a ton of people to get to a space where i could kneel for a sec and wipe my face off at least and NOT pass out.
Then outta nowhere some girl punches me in the face and says I'm blocking her view and cut in front of her, then some ***** behind me says i'm also blocking her and starts pulling my hair. I stood up and started screaming are you kidding me, i didn't cut you, i just need to move to the side for a second?! They didn't listen and kept yelling at me, saying they were going to beat me up haha. Then this girl won't let go of my hair while they're pushing me back and calling me a dumb *****. so i had to beat the shit out of some ******* girl, while i'm all bloody and about to pass out which is also something i have never had to do, and then she said that she was getting her boyfriend to come back and beat me up, while the other girls behind me kept on punching me in the back. I just stood there and wouldn't budge and tried to enjoy the rest of the show, which was impossible while they were screaming at me haha.
I've had lots of bad experieces lately, this one has just been the worst for sure.
