He looked ridiculous with the camera so close to his face. He came off as low-energy, almost like he had second thoughts doing it. He struggled to read the teleprompter. He lied a bunch of times. His focal point was that Mexicans are coming to rape and/or murder you and the wall is your only hope, which he cemented by cherry-picking a few crimes committed.
You heard wrong. Meanwhile...even MSNBC was making fun of Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi's response.

I should have added that Trumpers felt he was great and made great points. But that goes without saying at this point. He could shit himself on camera and they'd call it winning/ Trump's 4d chess.
So in other words: fans of Trump liked it and people who don't like Trump thought it was bad.

You don't need to be anti-Trump to realize that the same old scare-tactics are lame. Live in fear of Mexicans coming to rape/murder you all you like, but most average people don't.
You need to be anti trump to believe it was "horrible beyond words".
EDIT: If believing that everybody but Trump supporters thought it was bad helps you cope then you do you though
