- really liking the sound of the new songs, which i've been holding off on listening to until the album is released.
- it was a pretty small venue, i would say there were about 500 people there.
- Billie Joe saw some guy in the crowd who was singing along to all the new songs, so he pulled him out to come and sing the next line. I think it was for East Jesus of Nowhere.
- He also pulled out the first person that crowd surfed. This was during longview, and he got the guy to sing a verse of the song, which the guy did well i thought. This caused Billie Joe to forget the next verse, hence some laughter from the band/crowd while they tried to get it together.
- They're always looking for a laugh on stage and its great to see.
- I really like a part from a song where the music stops and Billie goes "Don't test me" in a St. Jimmy fashion.
- It was unusual seeing Mike singing so much in one of the songs, but he sounded good.
- There was some funny moments during King For A Day/Shout where the crowd was kneeling down and singing along, without the need for any prompting from Billie. Everyone seemed to know the score, so all did it before he got us going. I have a decent video of this which i'll try to put on here.
All in all a good as usual Green Day show. This was my 13th time seeing them (including the Foxboro Hot Tubs) and it was worth the trip from England.
I think this might be the kind of set they play on the arena tour. First part all new stuff and then 2nd part AI and other classics that people will have seen on BIAB. I'd like them to vary it more and play some rarer stuff, but for anyone seeing them for the first time, this is just what the doctor ordered!
