Sorry to be so morose but the worst thing about rn is that usually when I'm down I can be creative, but I've lost my knack entirely. I can't write shit. I have D&D next week and I haven't it in me to write that. I want to express myself but there's nothing there. It's like... oh, gods, I can't even summon a simile. Damn.

They got these minty fresh wipes in Japan that I lived off. Nice menthol kinda thing to cool your skin down, or give the impression thereof

That'd be awesome, I really wanna play because I'm an always-DM erm I love DM'ing but it's exhausting, especially when I'm running two games at once

Thanks Hums, I know, but that's part of the problem. I'm so tired of being knocked back by myself again and again. I'm so tired of getting back up

Yeah, it's so easy to get burned out from it, even though I love doing the whole storytelling thing. My main adventure I've been running for like 2 1/2 years now, the players are at level 10 now, it's awesome but increasingly hard to maintain

I just wanna play a fighter or something y'know

I like his theories, still haven't got round to reading his stuff directly. I get caught in webs where I was going to get into philosophy properly so I bought loads of books to read in order, then didn't

But tbf that's partially lockdown's fault. Well, no, it's my fault, but...

But yeah, I do really like a lot of his stuff about the absurd, it helps put things in perspective at times

I hope everyone's aware that despite being known for their big hit 'Tubthumping', Chumbawumba are actually hardcore anarcho-punks

I get that man. The laid back nature of being a player is way easier to enjoy. You get to just do your thing. I've always been more into the roleplaying aspect, so when a fight breaks out I'm like "eh alright" and get excited to get back to the pretending.

He's really good. While we are on the subject, Whedon considers himself an absurdist as well. It's why a lot of Camus themes will play into his shows, or his characters are just straight up reading his shit. Angel is usually seen reading Camus or Sartre. And there's an episode where he contemplates Suicide and it's pretty powerful shit.

I found this video awhile back when I was doing research on Camus and his works. It really spoke to me in a pretty profound way, how it breaks down the human condition. Honestly my work with people in the Mental health field, camus, all that shit lead to the tattoo I have on my collar bone. It's a solid video breaking things down, hopefully not too sappy. But check it out and it might make you feel a little bit more on solid ground.

It wasn't bad, I just think it deserved better. The sad part is that it was cancelled just as it had started to do some of the best work ever done on the series, the 4th season was the worst of all the seasons, this is the general consensus among fans and I agree with it. The Connor/Cordelia storyline is cringe. There are a few high points in the season, but overall it seemed like the show was running out of steam.

Then the 5th season comes and it's excellent and it shows that the series still had a lot more story to tell. Networks usually waited until towards the end of a season before deciding on if they wanted to renew a series. Whedon pushed for a decision early on in the 5th season and they decided to cancel. It very likely would have been renewed if he had not done that since it was the #1 show on the network at the time.
