Yeah. There are some speculations (from people that have rented boats on the same lake) that maybe she was trying to help her son back in the boat and was restricted by the life jacket so threw it on board and then couldn’t get herself on board and drowned
But I don’t know if this is true
I think adults a lot of the time underestimate the power of water and overestimate their swimming skills
I always say if there is a life jacket available then wear it, regardless of how good a swimmer you think you are.
Oh and there was also one person who said that ALL MALES have the want to Kill within them and probably her 4 yr old MALE child killed her and she should have never been alone with him
I've worn a life jacket and I'm struggling to picture a scenario where u can't help a 4 yr. Old without getting rid of it.
Idk. If true seems the lake should be closed if it has a history of causing this

To be honest I think the most likely scenario is she overestimated her swimming abilities.
