How they utilize them, yes. Just because they may use Piano in one song does not change what they are about musically. Which is the "Jump up and down snare bass beat" over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
Tre is a good drummer actually, bias aside. His intensity and speed is great, he does it without being pretentious like prog. metal drummers (who are good too, of course).
He's no Travis Barker, if we're talking about intensity and speed. Because, metal and hard rock aside, I'd say Barker is a much better drummer than most in their certain genre.
Yeah, I guess, but Barker's abilities come out best in live performances I think, while Tre's can be heard on studio recordings too. That's just my opinion though, I guess.
I think they give Barker enough space to play around on their records, but yeah, he really shines live. Especially when his drums rose above the audience and began spinning upside down and shit like that. That was awesome. As for Tre, I still find nothing special about him.
Reject the basic assumptions of civilization, especially the importance of material possessions.
