I thought it was telepathic battle. Using a character with no TP on her own (TP-immune Betsy) in what's meant to be telepathic duel sucks.
Telekinetic TP-immune Betsy vs Xavier- Xavier getting crippled again in seconds, might as well put regular human there.
Telepathic version of Betsy lasts for maybe half a minute, she has no TP feats to be in Xavier's league. And Shadow King "feat" doesn't count, since the dude basically PWNed himself there.
Sorry, Id, but that looks like major mismatch\waltz through (for whom- depends on battle stipulations). But since it's telepathic version of Psylocke- Xavier wins 10\10.
Sorry for not clarifying. I use the as word “Psychic”, as a general term to anyone who exhibits predominant psyionic abilities. Let it be Telekinesis, Telepathy, Empathy, etc…
And yes it’s the current Betsy. Her immunity is more like resistance, since her mind was breached an alternate Xavier controlled by the Shadow King.
New Exiles are very inconsistent stuff, if current, than quick TK-knockout for the win. CIS is on, and on "normal levels" Betsy's mind now is really highly resistant.
If that's the case, then I change my vote to Betsy. Quick TK KO FTW, as Chuck has to work around Jamie-established defences (can't be done quick) and can't inhibit Betsy's TK in any way.
Yeah that was vary peculiar moment. The writers could fall back, and state the mind breach was only possible because Xavier and Shadow King psi abilities double stack.
In fact, nearly TP immune one with the TK on molecular level makes me remember old saying about not bringing swords to the gunfight...or there it would be a big ****ing gun in the swordfight.
Though CIS on prevents bubbles in the brain and stuff, and some of the people in the tier are really hard to kill.
Most likely. Though there is confusion as to what body was used as "another proxy" for Kwannon's one, as Psylocke from New Exiles doesn't use Kwannon's original body but one modelled after it by Jamie Braddock. Maybe Psylocke was just "test subject" chosen due to power transfers with Jean (who seems the real goal).
Yeah, the matchup is sick (and so is the one in another thread- in fact, though, Quentin isn't the biggest underdog there, but can compete with Rachel Summers and Composite Legion for that title)...maybe that's why it went into "generic Psylocke discussion".
It was in Fractions interview for UXM #509, I know she's back in her british body...so I presume she's got her old powers pack. Also the Sisterhood need telepaths for their grande finale so makes sense that they'd bring her back as a telepath.
