Jon passed the woman back her weapon, breathing a little hard he wiped the sweat of his face and whispered "Thanks" under his breath.

Just as he had passed the weapon back something large and brown had scooped through the air, missing the three of them and landing somewhere beyond the gate. It appeared to be a giant owl, and it had, clutched, in its talons the other mans sword. Before anyone could act the owl had taken flight once more and was now headed for the source of the music Jon was just becoming aware of.

Rosalinde quickly snatched back her scimitar and twirled it a few times to flick the blood off, ducking instinctively when she heard wingbeats from above.
A giant owl...? With Richard's sword?
She suddenly groaned, Richard would obviously want his sword back and that owl had just taken it in the same direction she was heading.
Rosalinde kicked the ground in frustration and moved off ahead, sheathing her scimitars so she could re-climb the gate with ease and glide over the top, landing softly before pulling her scimitars out again warily.
A maze, just brilliant, it was a pity the walls didn't have any hand holds otherwise she'd climb those instead.

So she stepped out into the first corridor of the maze, looking left first and finding a pool of water at a dead end, she heard a clack of hard wood locking into something behind her, quickly spinning around in time to see a massive creature flying full pelt at her with a large spear proceeding it.
She barely had time to bring her scimitars around and lock them around the tip of the spear defensively, though this creature was much too strong and had too much momentum to be stopped, it cleanly picked her right off the ground on the end of its spear without so much as a pause in its charge, running full pelt towards the dead end.
The collision would drive the spear through her defense and into her unprotected stomach, but there wasn't a real lot she could do as inertia was pinning her in place.

Quite suddenly the creature came to a very abrupt halt a foot away from the water's edge, Rosalinde continued flying and crashed painfully into the wall before falling into the water with a loud splash.

((Exile, You Jerk... stick out tongue))

Richard saw the owl swoop down and pick up his sword and fly away with it. "DAMNIT!" he screamed as he watched the owl carry his sword away. He looked up at the sky and saw it getting darker by the second. He'd never make it to the lake without his sword, but he had to get there soon or else Ruto would die. "DAMNIT!!!" he screamed again, then he turned to the new guy. "Who are you?" he demanded, pinning the man against the gate. "Why are you here?"

((This good though, I have always wanted a chance to Punch Kaepora Gaebora in the face. Irratating owl... Now, all I need is the chance to shoot Tingle and this RP will have fulfilled it's destiny.))

If there was one thing Jon didn't like it was being restrained. Using a free hand he struck the man pinning him right in the face, dropping him to the ground. Jon then climbed the vines next to the gate and found himself on top of some sort of maze wall, seeing the man get to his feet below he jumped from one of the ledges to another, headed in the direction of where the owl was going.

Rosalinde climbed out of the water with a scowl, watching the wretched creature with the spear slowly patrol away with its back turned. Stupid, did it really think it had dealt with her?
It was time to give this place a severe rough up, Gerudo style.
She shook her clothes a little to try and beat the water out, striking her scimitars together to get the creature's attention.

"Yeah, time for payback, bastard," Rosalinde said, running flat out at the now charging creature.
She basically twirled around the creature's side and had it plowing into the ground bleeding from several deep gashes, but Rosalinde wasn't stopping, she kept running.
She ran along the wall around the corner to keep up her momentum, her vision locking onto the next creature. Two scimitars flashed but it was actually a dagger that had come out of nowhere that laid the creature low, Rosalinde sheathed the dagger away and snatched up a flying scimitar, continuing her destructive path through the maze running at top speed.

Richard climbed up onto the top of the maze, to see the man leaping across the top of it. He sprinted to the man, tackling him once he had caught up, and they both plummeted to the ground on top of one of the creatures patrolling the maze.

The three lay in a heap, momentarily dazed, but Richard soon regained his senses. Seeing the large spear that the creature had been carrying, he quickly snatched it up, and impaled it into the back of it's head. He tried to remove the spear from the creature's head, but it was jammed too tightly. So, instead he placed a foot lightly on the stranger's through, careful not to obstruct his airways, but just enough to make the threat of strangulation a very real possibility in the mind of the man now laying on the ground. "Now," He said through gritted teeth, trying to gain control of his rage, "Let's try this again, who are you" Where are you from? and why are you here?"

Rosalinde turned down another pathway and noticed her next target lying in the ground with those two men from before, Richard looked a little threatening.
Rosalinde just shrugged and kept running, leaping through the air and basically flying for a moment as she soared right over the prone man and right before Richard.

"That's interesting," Rosalinde said idly as she flew by, landing on her feet gracefully and continuing to run off.

Jon felt a surge of hatred for the man. "Its time to end this," he thought.

Using all the strength he could muster, Jon kicked the spear that was stuck into the beasts head, snapping the lethal tip off. With it still rested on his leg he launched the massive thing towards the man's neck. The mans unconscious body fell forward into the small pool of water that was at the end of the corridor.

Backtracking he found a vine to climb on top of the maze. Traversing the top of the maze he eventually found himself in front of a massive set of stairs leading upward.

((Good chance for another flash-back))

Richard turned to his left and saw a huddled mass through the torrential down-pour. "SOKRA!!!" he screamed, as he ran over to the huddled mass. He rolled it over, and looked into his sister's face, her eyes open, glazed over, unseeing.

Richard looked down her body, and saw the hilt of a scimitar sticking from her chest. "NO!" he screamed, as he shook his sister's lifeless body. "NO! SOKRA!" he collapsed onto her, sobbing in anguish.

What seemed like hours later, Richard looked up and saw his sister's sword, lying on the ground five feet from her body. He walked over to it and bent down to pick it up, and turned back to his sister. "I will find who did this to you." He said, more to himself that the body lying at his feet. "And their justace will be brought by the blade of the one they have slain..." He nelt down and picked up his sister, and began the long journey back to Kakariko village.

------------------------------------

Richard awoke with a start. "Sokra" he muttered, and then sat up suddenly. "THE SWORD! I'll kill that damn owl..." He got to his feet and rushed off through the maze, untill he came to the bottom a long set of stairs, and at the top stood the stranger, his back to richard.

When Jon had finally reached the top of the steps he was greeted with the sight of the woman from earlier fighting a giant beast with a club.

"What to do?" he thought. She had helped him earlier with the wolfos but not with the man.

He decided to run to both of them, screaming like an idiot, stopping both of them in their tracks, even drawing raised eyebrows. He was able to get past both of them and when he was safe on a second flight of stairs he turned back to the woman and gave her a little wink. Her face froze when she had realized what he had done through his foolishness, he had paused the actions of the beast, making it vulnerable to attack.

((Running and screaming like an idiot? very nice.))

Richard reached the top of the steps in time to see the Gerudo slaying another beast, and beyond her, the stranger was standing on a stone platform in the middle of a small clearing, looking up at a massive stone structure, which had a small opening high in the wall of the structure, and on the ledge of the structure was that damned owl.

"Listen" Richard shouted at the stranger as he ran past the gerudo. "I don't know who you are, but you clearly aren't working for Ganondorf. I have to get my sword back." He paused as he silently ammended this to 'my sister's sword'. "I need it so that I can make it to Lake Hylia, the life of a Zora princess hangs in the balance. I also have a friend lost in the woods, and I need to find him."

Richard looked up at the owl, who seemed to be watching Richard. 'and I need it...' he muttered quietly to himself. 'to bring justice to my sister's killer.'

Rosalinde glided through the maze like a lacerating breeze, leaving several of those creatures crippled and bleeding to death in her wake, barely touching the ground as she ran full pelt, running along walls mostly to keep up her momentum around the many corners.

Some stone steps were down a passageway she nearly skipped, the oddity make her stop and examine, as clearly it wasn't just another part of the maze so she warily climbed them.
She could make out the figure of another one of those creatures at the end of the great natural hallway when she reached the top of the stairs.

"Tch, these things never learn," Rosalinde said, quickly moving into a sprint once more, twirling her scimitars in preparation for the opposing charge.
Except the figure hefted a rather large club-like object in the air and hit the ground with incredible force, provoking a concentrated shockwave rippling through the ground right at Rosalinde.
She dived to the side in surprise, watching a violent trail of dirt tear passed her, and the creature was already raising its club for another swing, so Rosalinde got an idea.
The shockwave ripped by but the Gerudo was now running swiftly along the walls, grinning at the ingenuity of it until the creature decided to try hitting the walls.

The shockwaves were a bit more chaotic, Rosalinde leaped to the other wall and continued running, diving at the last to roll passed the creature, the club crashed down beside her as a narrow miss.
She twirled to her feet and leaped clear over another swing from the club, causing it to crash into the wall, her scimitars flashed in response, drawing a few lines of blood on the creature before she quickly darted around it.
The creature began to swing the club around haphazardly, making it rather difficult to get a clean shot in.
That was until some screaming idiot ran by, providing quite the distraction to the creature. While also perplexed, Rosalinde didn't hesitate in taking advantage of the situation, twirling high into the air and using her scimitars like a guillotine, severing the creature's head from its shoulders.

She landed a little tiredly and started up the next flight of stairs, giving her scimitars a flick to knock the blood off them before sheathing them.
Saria was supposed to be here, yet when Rosalinde topped the stairs, there was no sign of the Kokiri in question.
Was she in that damn building up there? How would a child get up there?

((Blazinvire, Exile sends his apologies for controling your character, and I add a tagged one for solidifying that character. Won't happen again.))

Richard turned and saw Rosalinde coming up the stairs. Sighing he turned back to where the owl was perched and walked forward untill he was directly under it. The owl turned his head and opened it's beak, but instead of hooting, the owl began to speak. "My name is Kaepora Gaebora." the owl said.

Jon looked up to the owl, disregarding the man that would not go away. He was trying to ask the Owl a question earlier until the man had interjected. Jon had seen this owl once before, it had appeared along the stream when he had first found himself in the woods, as if it were leading him.
"Where did you say I am, now?"

The Owl looked down and then turned his face upside down.

"Why Hyrule of course."

"Wait." Richard said, turning from Kaepora Gaebora to the stranger. All thoughts of Ruto, Leonidas, and Sokra from his mind. "If you aren't from Hyrule, then where are you from?"

Rosalinde idly strolled up and walked passed the two men, shrugging at the two of them, hands resting on the hilts of her scimitars as she looked up to the remnants of the staircase that had a tree reaching up and over it.
Convenient...
The Gerudo took a few steps back and then quickly sprinted at the tree, running halfway up and launching off, managing to catch the edge of the broken stairs, easily pulling herself up and sitting on the ledge, looking quizzically at the huge owl.

In Rosalinde's opinion, as long as the owl didn't attack her she really didn't care, she needed to find Saria otherwise she'd be lost for where to go next.
Though... something caught her attention, the man Richard was talking to didn't respond when asked where he came from if not Hyrule. How'd that work? All humans came from Hyrule, she'd be exasperated if there were any more of them somewhere else, Richard was annoying enough to the point if she never saw another human again, it'd be too soon.
But that was just wishful thinking.

Richard found himself annoyed by this interloper, but, he guessed the man has a right to be a little cross with him. Richard turned to Kaepora "I need my sword back."
"Not yet." the Bird Replied
"What? I have to get to Lake Hylia!"
"Enter this temple, when you pass the tests inside, then you shall have your sword again."
"What? You expect me to traverse an ancient temple... without my sword?"
"Yes"
"Damnit bird, if you think that I am just going to..." Suddenly, the owl flapped it's wings, and swooped down toward Richard, and lifted him off of the ground. "DAMNIT! Let me down!" The owl threw Richard through the hole, and into the temple.

Jon gave way to a little smirk as he watched the nuisance thrown into the temple, at least he wouldn't have anymore trouble with him.

"As for me?" Jon asked, looking up at the Owl.

"Oh, you, well, lets just say you have something that you must do first."
With speed beyond his expectations, the owl grabbed the back of Jon's shirt and began to take flight, leaving the temple and the woman behind in a clearing that was getting smaller and smaller...
