Least when JC made the alien sequel is what actually good, he's made 2 of the greatest sequels: Aliens and Terminator 2, so when he says they screwed up a franchise then you know he's right 
I wish he would do it but I doubt he would, just re-boot AVP if it could be called a re-boot since there were just two films
