1985, Old Man Logan, Millar FF - CONECTION REVEALED
http://comics.ign.com/articles/949/949454p1.html

quote:
So here's how they tie in. 1985 is the origin of Clyde Wyncham. And Clyde is the guy who grows up to be the greatest super-villain of all time far into the future. He is back in the Master of Doom storyline in Fantastic Four. What he's done is he's become the master of all space and time and co-exists from the end of the universe to the beginning through multiple dimensions and so on. He's just the biggest badass, you know? So you have his earliest, embryonic state in 1985 and it kind of explains who he is. So tell sell this in the most cynical way, 1985 is the origin of Dr. Doom's teacher as well as being a nice, little Stephen King superhero story, you know? And Wolverine: Old Man Logan ties into this because, without spoiling the end of 1985, the place where Clyde Wyncham is put at the end of 1985 is broken into in Old Man Logan. For people who've read the story, they know it's about the supervillains all getting together and wiping out the superheroes. So they open all the prisons and they discover this secret prison called "Clyde's Pit" which is where the worst supervillains are kept – the guys we've never heard about. And Clyde is the most dangerous supervillain of all, and he's freed in Old Man Logan. This is referred to in Fantastic Four. So the whole thing is this big, intricate web. Each thing is self-contained but hopefully they make a cool, big story. It's my own little event. After Civil War I kind of wanted to do a one-man event.

That’s fine. Personally I find, The Marquis to be a vary complete character. Outside of manipulating, he has shown massive psionic abilities, shifting within dimensions, massive energy blasts.

I want to see how his durability would fair. But man, they are really making out the Marquis to be damn brutal. More so then Jaspers or Jamie.

He's got a long way to go to match or exceed Jaspers in the durability department.

I agree that he is more brutal than Jaspers.

So is Sabretooth.

MJJ didn't set the bar very high for brutality.

616 or even 238 Jaspers for the horrific stomp of a win.

Wow, amazing.

I wonder what would be to you, becoming and controlling the core of Eternity.

For those who don't catch my drift,
616 MJJ, became the 616 Universe.
(just one of many uber feats)

Love the sarcasm Eny. laughing out loud

The far weaker 238 Jaspers twarted Matrix/Merlin's absolute Omniversal power.
(he literally toyed with the life-force of the entire Omniverse, except for Jaspers)

Matrix/Merlin who was manipulating the prime Multiverse on a freakin chess board,
had to arrange 616 Jaspers' defeat by sending the Fury after him,
the ONLY thing capable of stopping Jaspers in the entire story.

In fact, Cobweb (a being able to witness what her future-self experiences)
saw Jaspers cancelling the entire Omniverse,
in a future where the Fury didn't manage to stop him.

To further strengthen this futuristic vision,
Matrix/Merlin himself stated,
that if Jaspers was not stopped (by the Fury that it is)
then the Omniverse would fall into chaos, and a new God would play dice with matter.

Feats? No contest.

Oh yea, the core of everything is the 616 Reality/Eternity (power behind all creation)

Controlling Galactus, bringing heroes/villians into his realm

A laughable joke in comparison with what Jaspers did on panel.

Jaspers became that which made Galactus,
that which created an infinite number of Galactuses for every Universe in the Multiverse.

Yes, 616 Eternity.

The writers would slap themselves, from these idiotic comments. MJJ never became Eternity. EVER.

Clyde did so in an even weaker state. Apparently the Watcher, and villains break into his cell. Wake him up, and they simply died.

When I read the arc, it looked like MJJ became Eternity over that pocket universe/room that he invited Captain Britain into.

But I think Mr. M probably has a handbook somewhere or whatever that outright states that he did. Dunno.

If MJJ molds his head into a 3 hooded figure, and states he is going to judge Captain Britain. Will you think he had become Living Tribunal?

Look, I have not even given my two cents on how this match would proceed. And I am not taking anything away from MJJ. But molding a dimension or a pocket universe within reality. And then changing his form into a transparent, does not really mean he replaced Eternity. Its more or less a testament of the degree, to his reality manipulation.

Yeah, like I said. That was my take on it, too. But I'm wondering if Mr. Master has handbook entries that clarify it, and that's what he was basing his comments on.
