Well the genetic ages of some of those clones are in their thirties. So thats that.

Thanks for not answering.

It can be both, sometimes the ships landed, sometimes they got close and the Clones either jumped off or repelled (eg collisium battle in AOTC).

Ok, so the line is set as age twenty, the clones cant cross it, their weapons are out of range, the autopilot scenario is crap because Dumbledore can spot them from a LONG way away, cast a portus spell on a rock on the ground, wingardium leviosa it at the tanks, even engorgio it to make it bigger. All the while he is invisible, under Harry's cloak.

Again, it was shown being used in GOF around a very small circumference, you're talking about surrounding a humongous area. Also part of that area would be underwater, as the rear of the castle faces the coast.

So in short, this age-line tactics smells of pure fail.

Heres a thought, couldn't the clones just blow up the ground the lines drawn on? I mean, the line stops people, not blaster bolts. No line= no problem.
