Question about installing patches

Let's say there's patch 1, then patch 2 and then patch 3. If you install patch 3 (aka game version 1.3) does it automatically give you the benefits of patches 1 and 2? Or must you install all of the patches individually? Thanks in advance.

It really depends on the game, to be honest. there are plenty who will require to install them all, and quite a few that will be all inclusive.

from my own experience, anyways. sorry if thats not much help.

Depends on the game, but if the game doesn't ask for patch 1/2 when installing patch 3, then you can be pretty much certain you will be getting the benefits of patch 1/2.
