McClane gets: 30 mins prep time, explosives he pulled out of his ass, enough guns to supply an army and he's holed up in a well protected room with only one way to enter. Possibly rigging an invention of some sort that suspends all guns from the cieling and ties a string around every single trigger so that he can just hide behind a desk and pull the string which will fire every single gun at Batman.
Batman will get: No prep time, possibly, you might be generous and give him ten minutes of prep time, after that, he's on his own walking around the building opening doors yelling like an idiot.
That's how you'de do it, or eventually turn it into.

OK, what happens when they arent sure what to do here? Do they stand there swapping war stories? Does Mac shoot? What?

It's funny cuz you did this in the Swagger thread. Remember? Swagger in a house with a years worth a food and a bunch of ammunition. Not to mention an entire booby trapped forest all around the house.
Lets say we go with the OP. Mac is slow on the draw, Batman ducks behind a wall. Well, Mac pulls a wad of C4, hurls it in Batmans general direction, shoots it, and BOOM, everything in the general vicinity gets blown to shit.
Even if Batman is running all out, away from Mac, he gets knocked on his ass at the very least, while Mac is taking cover behind a desk. BOOM BOOM, two in Bats computer.

I didn't mean use the gel gun on McClane RJ, I meant use it on the window, blow it out, and while McClane is distracted/disoriented, hit him with a Bat combo.
Nah, Swagger was in his element, with all the weapons he used in the movies, Batman had the batmobile and whatever else he used in the movies.

Not only you, but yes, the argument basically amounted to that.
Well, honestly, I doubt Batman would ever just go off and stay Western Showdown style before a terrorist, but say he did for a second, when he'd see the gun he'd move himself into cover, and yes, perhaps McClane would raise, aim and shoot his gun, but that takes time, it is not instant as you guys suppose and therefore it is hardly a clear cut "Batman dies, end of story".
Thats an idea. Except he would have to catch McClane by a window, and HOPE it doesnt kill McClane. Too risky IMO.
