Mission: bring in the Black Panther
The scene is the Marvel Universe. An assassination attempt on the President on Washington has failed but resulted in the President being badly wounded, and the VP and numerous senators being killed, along with dozens of civilians.
The attack occurred just as trade talks between the USA and Wakanda had broken down. A figure resembling the Black Panther was seen leaving the vicinity of the attack, and DNA evidence found at the crime site indeed points to T'Challa. In reality, the Chameleon has launched a plot to start a war between the two countries... and he appears to have succeeded.
T'Challa flees back to Wakanda within hours of the attack and Wakanda closes its borders. The US demand that they hand over the Panther immediately. Wakanda refuses, stating they will not give up their King under any circumstances.
The President makes a decision. Rather than allowing time for Wakanda to prepare further, he authorizes a strikeforce to immediately enter Wakanda and extract the Panther. Only one team will be ready for deployment:
1) The Dark Avengers: Ares, Sentry, Moonstone, Noh-Varr , Iron Patriot, Venom, Daken, Bullseye
2) The X-Men: Cyclops, Emma, Beast, Iceman, Bishop, Colossus, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Warpath, Kitty, Polaris
3) Freedom Force: Mystique, Blob, Pyro, Avalanche, Spider-Woman (JC), Spiral, Destiny
4) New Avengers: Bucky Cap, Ms Marvel, Wolverine, Spidey, Spider-woman, Ronin, Current Strange, Mockingbird, Iron Fist, Daredevil
5) The Fantastic Four: Reed, Sue, Ben, Johnny, She-Hulk, Luke Cage, Crystal, Sub-Mariner
6) Juggernaut
7) Deadpool, Deadshot, Deathstroke, Taskmaster, Punisher, Paladin, Wolverine, Bullseye, Moon Knight, Sabretooth, Mr X, Gorgon, Crossbones - taking whatever standard gear is that they can carry (within reason - no one-off superweapons or anything).
8) The Infinity Watch: Warlock, Gamora, Moondragon, Pip, Drax. At classic IW levels.
9) The JLA: Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Batman, Flash, Plastic Man, Green Lantern (Kyle). At Grant Morrison "Big 7" levels.
10) Ghost Rider: the one who fought WWH and working on the basis that BP is guilty and vengeance is required. Now if he is able to get to Panther but then determines he is innocent it is still counted as a success.
They move in fast and Wakanda has only about 24 hours to prep, but they have no idea how the US will retaliate - military or superhuman - or who they will be facing.
Which teams can succeed?
