I think its an excellent add. 9/11 was an awe full event, but a lot worse things happen every year as natural disasters are concerned.

But because 9/11 happened to be an attack, and the fact that the US has a self centred viewpoint, it was blown out of proportion.

If there was a "McDonalds Fly Thru" sign on it then it would be offensivesmile

What? How does it devalue them?

It simply says the tsunami killed 100 times as many people, which is entirely true.

I know what it says and didn't say it wasn't true. The designers might not think it, but to some it might come across as saying that day was inferior due to the differing amounts, thinking it's not so important(I believe it will come across like that to some of the victims and their families).

I just think it's nice for designers to take this into account and think how the actual victims and their families would feel seeing that advertised all over.

.......it WAS inferior due to differing amounts. Which is why there have been hundreds of videos, reports, articles, etc. on 9/11 as opposed to any individual car crashes with say 5 people dead.

Both are tragedies, one is a bigger tragedy. Anybody who thinks:

1. "My brother/sister/mother/father/son/daughter's death is more meaningful cause it happened in a bigger tragedy."

OR

2. "My brother/sister/mother/father/son/daughter's death is less meaningful cause it happened in a smaller tragedy."

are equally stupid and should be ignored.

I'm confused - Are you Wickerman(who loves The Hide) with a new name, or a different one called The Wickerman...

Different one.

I have to say that most of these ads are extremely exaggerated.

I realize I may be a little out of the loop on acronyms, but when did WWF begin standing for something other than wrestling?
