Klaus went down like a ***** lol. You'd think the Hybrid thing would compensate for the 1000 year gap a little bit more, especially since he was starved and inactive for all of them.
I'm surprised Rebecca didn't at least break Damon's neck after he tried to kill her thinking she was human. She didn't even seem to care or react. Well now she knows if she really does turn human, Damon will end her, but I doubt such knowledge will make a difference, because you know, the shows retarded.
So what the hell is Silas btw? Why was he drinking blood if he isn't a vampire?
And why don't they lock Elena up like Stefan or Damon did to each other when they were on a rampage? It's like suddenly Stefan's morals about taking innocent lives (i.e murder) disappeared.
Who thinks Silas will look like a ***** when we finally really see him?
I don't know. I just keep hearing he is the "first immortal". Another reason I didn't think he was a vampire is because vampires aren't supposed to be able to do magik. Maybe his mindrape is just a telepathic ability that develops with sufficiently old age?
So why do they call the Mikaelsons "The Originals"? For all they know there could've been an earlier line, and possibly even vampires today descended from separate ancestors. In fact that would be fairly likely if Silas is a vampire.
Anyway, from the VD wiki:
Silas was a warlock who became the first vampire in the world. According to Atticus Shane, Silas, with the help of his best friend Qetsiyah, created and cast the first immortality spell on himself.
I don't think Silas can do magic, I think he's using vampire mind tricks to appear like whoever he wants to.
Silas is the first vampire, because he helped Bonnie's ancestor create the spell but he didn't turn anyone so he's not an original.
The Originals mum borrowed the spell from Bonnie's other ancestor and created the originals, who are called the originals because they turned people and created a bunch of other vampires.
TBH I kind of like the fact that no character on this show is likable. Perhaps Rebekah cause I actually feel sorry for her.
All this hype about Silas, then Bonnie just decides she is "strong enough" and takes down Silas like a little *****? That was so weak. This magic solves all bullsh1t is getting lame.
I doubt this is the end of Silas, especially since they made a point of keeping his face hidden. Plus the whole Otherside thing gives the potential for some pretty awesome storylines.
And it wasn't just Bonnie. We also had to get some delicious Damon badassery.
Damon made it even worse imo. We were all complaining how it was complete cowshit that Jeremy and Elena took out Kolly boy due to the power disparity. It would've been even more so for Silas against Damon. Before Bonnie came in, Silas would've overpowered him easily or mind effed him, or both.
And Stefan taking out Kol was another instance of cowshit. Katherine in the cave: " I have superhearing, I can hear someone". Kol, an original doesn't seem to have this power. But he seemed to be aware and fast enough to turn around and catch a stake from a silent Jeremy.
I can't actually recall any displays of high-level physical traits from Silas. His main threat seemed to be his mental powers, which Damon shrugged off, being the G that he is. So I'm cool with that.
As for Kol, I can buy that he was a little bit less on edge and a fair bit more distracted than Katherine was. But in the end I don't really give a ****. This is one of the few shows on TV that genuinly entertains me these days, I'm not going to let something as inconsequential as power levels get in the way of that.
Vampires can sneak up on other vampires. Remember when Damon broke into the house of the tomb vamps and he told Alaric that he could get around without being heard? He was already dead, so Stefan didn't really kill him.
I'm really glad that they're giving Paul Wesley a new storyline for next season, he's probably the best actor on the show, can't wait to see how he does. I hope he kicks Damon's ass at least once. That would be so sweet.
