The use of spoiler tags means we all win. What's the big deal?
And on topic, is anyone else hopeful Spider-Man has some kind of role in Osborn's downfall? Seems to me these two characters have far too much history to just be ignored in the climax.
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: Read an interview where Bendis stated hes building up to a huge confrontation between ares and thor. I hope thats not it. If he thinks ares is a huge threat to thor, then I think I just lost all hope in this event

Oh what the hell!! [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Ok, one reason i think Siege also happens is because of what happens in current issue of Invincible Iron Man, Tony in his Mach 0 suit get crushed live on TV by Iron Patriot aka Norman Osborn, unable to finish the job cos he was on live. Tony was brought to hospital, where Norman tells Tony's doc to pull the plug. But tony's doc said tat Tony's new doc is none other than Doc Donald Blake. Where Blake is Thor is...the the assassination of Tony gets for difficult with Marvel's Mightiest around. That wld boil Norman for the Siege.

This might be good, after the Avengers were scattered into small teams which were nothing compared to what the EMH used to be, now they will gather up for a hell of a fight.Osborn must be nuts if he believes he can go to war with Asgard and win, when Thor will go all out he'll make him regret the day he entered Asgard ground.
If it was as much of a cakewalk as it appears, they'd not do it.
There's obviously something at play here to make it relatively interesting until good inevitably wins.
My biggest concern, besides the quality of the ending, is that they need to lay off the big events for a while after this. At the very least, they need to stop making every tie-in important, because it's not entirely fair.
I like the idea of a central series, a la Civil War and Secret Invasion. I'm glad Siege is going to be the same. I wouldn't say Dark Reign suffers for a lack it, though.
I think it's just going to be a massive overblown, LOTR style fight with Asgardians left, right and centre. Osborn trying to assert his authority over Gods = epic fail for Norman.
Nothing wrong with an action packed story, just a little predictable.
EDIT: Isn't Coipel the main artist? At the very least it'll look gorgeous.
Heh, you know, although lots of peopel seem to be wanting a Spidey/Goblin fight (which would be good), personally I'd think it would be interesting if it went another way, with Spidey saving Norman from some of the other hero's.
I mean, we've had a fair amount of hero's trying to act un heroic and want to kill Norman, and I mean, Bendis has been trying to show Spiderman as a voice of morals/reason with the NA's.
Spidy saving Norman would also allow the hero's too see how extreme some things have become since Civil War broke out, so if Marvel are wanting to change stuff about the Registration Act etc, this would give the basis to do so...
Yeah that's a good point ... why have you been here so long. I've returned on various occasions since about 2006, however it amazes me that you've maintained the same Name. And why have u gone through such a transition. If remember correctly; u went thru a faze of not posting on the comic-book Zone. This occur-ed for a good couple of years; concentrating your posting mainly in the GDF, etc.
Infact if rember correctly the last time (Well time period ) u were posting regularly in this zone; D.C. was undergoing its the previous Infinite Crisis; that turned out to be not too infinite?
Not that u care, but does the name Whirly ring any bells a bell ? To clarify what i mean; I am not him however he used to be close friend (as close as an internet friend can be any way). From what I can remember you didn't get on ?
I know this will throw a bit of a spanner in the status Quo works, however I don't really have a problem with Osborn asserting his authority over "God", when the "Gods" in question are the Asgardians.
Via a physical comparison, Norman isn't that much inferior to the mass majority of them, and when you consider his "Authority power", then most of the Asgardian couldn't even lift a comparative finger . In my Oppion its analogous to Rupert Murdok boasting to the Rock that he's more powerful. ... Well he is !!
I would be quite happy if it was Molecule Man tbh, b/c he is a threat level that would infatc scare Loki/Doom, due to the fact he's warped the multiverse with his power, rather than Sentry, who really wouldn't scare Doom/Loki that much...
Boring ... Id rather have Thor beat, a Sentry whose re-discovering his Beyonder powers.
To be fair as long as Sentry is removed from the frame of things for a while, I do really care how he goes down.
Bendis is bullshit when it comes to doing re-search for his power levels. He probably has no-idea about Molecule Master fighting Beyonder previously, or the fact that the Beyonder should be lobotomized inside the Kylnn (By Thanos no-less). But I don't really care, as longs as we get some kind of Sentry Thor fight, i'll be happy.
