Finished NG+? You've been a busy little bat haven't you?
Was it on Hard? So what kind of enemies do you get instead of the basic ones? The ninjas? Or are the enemy types the same but with more health or something?
The Freeze boss fight was awesome. Better than the Ra's Al Ghul one which I loved due to the action & set-up.

Oi, that's for sure, as far as the past few days or so.
It doesn't matter what difficulty you first played on, because NG+ will still be the hardest version regardless, or at least that's what I was told. The main difference really is that there's a lot more armored enemies and those with shields around the beginning of the game, and jam devices that mess up your detective mode are quite a bit more common as well (Freeze's suit in NG+ can jam it too as I pointed out).
I wish you had fought more ninjas though, lol. Actually thought the Ra's al Ghul fight was more epic, even if it wasn't necessarily one of the hardest battles. He's quite an underrated Batman villain IMO, but my favorite ones of the series are probably the ones you can sympathize most with (namely Harvey and Freeze), which I especially did when it came to listening to their interview tapes with Hugo Strange. Mad Hatter can die for good though since he's a pedophile.
I really liked Hatter in TAS. Shame about his characterization in the comics. Then again, in this game he comes off as more of a weaker, not-at-all-scary Scarecrow.
Ra's al Ghul is an amazing villain. So glad that he appeared and is unbelievably awesome.
AC Penguin is incredible, though. Made me see the guy in a whole new light.

Yeah. I would too if I didn't have tests next week. Still, playing right now.
Also, you missed the Justice Lords reference no?
So NG+ is basically Hard with stronger enemies instead? Do you have to do your side missions again? I mean, hunting for Riddler Trophies again would be depressing. Other than that though, the side missions should be there.
Hehe. Yeah, ninjas are pretty cool enemies, but they can get annoying.
I agree, the Ra's Al Ghul fight was epic and Batman parrying all of his sword strikes in quick succession was uber. That entire sequence with Ra's was epic IMO. It's just that the Freeze battle was set up nicely where you have to run from him and use the environment against him.
I guess he and Bane are rather underrated.
And I also hated the Azrael stuff. Hush was brilliantly done though. Kevin Conroy voiced him deliciously.

I don't drink those gross craps, but if I come across another code that my co-workers wish to get rid of, then I'll try and send them out. Ridley has first dibs, hopefully I'll have some sent my way.
Indeed. The moment he fell in the Lazarus Pit then came back out was probably/arguably the most epic moment in the game to me, in addition to his boss battle. And the thing with him actually [SPOILER - highlight to read]: being Hugo Strange's master and most of the brains behind Arkham City and Protocol 10 I didn't see coming. Don't get why he [SPOILER - highlight to read]: stabbed himself when he was falling with Batman as the tower exploded though...
And same here.
Ah, I know how that is...
I guess I did. What was the reference?
Yeah, basically. For the Perfect Knight Day 2 achievement/trophy, you do have to do the side missions again on NG+, as far as one of the requirements. However though, all the riddles, Riddler trophies, breakable objects, and physical challenges that you did before will automatically carry over to NG+, so that makes having to do the side quests again just a minor inconvenience at most. Plus, if you at least got 400 out of 440 of the Riddler stuff done on your first playthrough, you can immediately go rescue all the Riddler's hostages and capture Riddler himself again on NG+ without having to wait later or anything.
Indeed. They surprised me by coming out of the ground when I went to go backtrack for Riddler stuff around the chamber of the demon area.
Yeah, I see where you're coming from there, and agree with that, and on the Hush thing as well, but what was wrong with the Azrael stuff?
Alright, sounds good. Many thanks.
Nice. I still haven't even touched the Riddler's Revenge/Campaign thingies for Catwoman and Robin yet, so I can wait awhile 'till he comes out. He'll probably be the most fun to use of all, though.
The Azreal stuff is a bit odd, since according to Bane's info a variation of the Knightfall event happened, but Batman doesn't seem to recognize Azreal at all. It's a different guy in the getup, but he's still at least partially based on Jean-Paul Valley Jr. and Batman ought to be able to figure out it's some form of Azreal.
Hopefully going through New Game+ will trigger more than one of the Identity Theft missions this time. I'm enjoying the Beyond suit.

Yeah, I found it odd too how Batman didn't seem to recognize Azreal or know that it was some form of him.
You don't need New Game + for the Identity Theft thing. Unlike with the Deadshot case, the 2nd and 3rd victims and such of the identity thief don't trigger on their own someplace on the map; you have to come across the bodies yourself, but there's images on online guides and such like this that show you where to find them if you need to use it.
p.s. I don't like how Deadshot looks in this game compared to how I'm used to seeing him (more slim, wearing mostly red and gray).
Well that would explain it. From what I read the Identify Theft missions triggered the same way as the Deadshot and Zsasz missions. Was getting annoyed that gliding around getting riddles wasn't advancing that storyline. Thanks for the map.
I didn't care much about Deadshot's look one way or another, but then I was introduced to him through the Gotham Knight DVD.

Justice Lord Superman said that to Justice Lord Batman. Epic two episodes IMO.
Also, did you get the Collector's Edition?
Ahh, that's all very good then. I just spent 7 hours doing the majority of the Riddler stuff. Still have to get Catwoman's trophies though.
Hehe. That T-Rex in the Museum scared me a little when I first went there. As did the Great White as well.
I don't know exactly. It was kind of weird I think. For some reason I just didn't like it.

Oh, that. Yeah, I saw those of course, but that was a long time ago, so I wouldn't remember where a line like that came from initially.
Nah. I was kinda disappointed with the real life "batarang" the collector's edition of Arkham Asylum had, so I didn't get the one for Arkham City. What did the latter one have again though? If it's just Robin maps or something, I can get all that as DLC later.
Oh, I see. I only did and completed like one section of all the Riddler stuff per day, starting with like Park Row and whatnot (getting Catwoman's trophies and destroying the breakable objects for last). Most of the Riddler stuff in Arkham Asylum I could get in like one sitting, but AC is on a whole other level, so I had to take plenty breaks in between.
Yeah, I loved the t-rex as well for the same reasons, and I believe Penguin's pet shark's name was Tiny. Don't get why it was called that though.
Considering what GK said, I can see why you didn't like it so much now.
p.s. Getting the perfect freeflow combo in this game was a *****, more-so than in the first game obviously. Took me at least over half an hour to do all the techniques in a certain order without getting hit or missing/forgetting an attack in between or at the end.
I can imagine. The line seemed appropriate though, so I used it.
Ahh okay. Yeah, I was watching a video of the AA collector's edition, so I can somewhat understand your disappointment.
There was a Batman Statue (looks great IMO), three DLC items for the game itself, the Soundtrack as DLC, and a code for that Gotham Impostors thing. There was also a Blu-Ray copy of Batman: Gotham Knight. Finally, there was the artbook. The game disc was put at the end of the artbook (no game case) so that was disappointing. On the whole, it was alright. The statue was the best part obviously.
I see. With games like these that provide maps for the collectibles, once I start collecting the items, I tend to sweep as much of an undefined area as I can. If it gets too much, I just stop playing or focus on something else. AC's map isn't that big all things considered, especially since Batman can get around so quickly.
I think Penguin likes his irony. You can hear a lot of it when you press the buttons for the Museum display cases iirc.
I suppose. Meh, I did think he was cool though.
I can understand. With all his gadgets and special moves, it can get pretty fugly. I always hate it when I try to Ground Takedown a guy, and another enemy runs up and hits me.

Gender: Male Location: In Luna's mane, chasing STAAARS!
Is it just me or is it silly that [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Batman seems more affected by Joker's death than his love interest's? Why not pick up Talia and walk out of Arkham City with her?
I hope that in the future, Rocksteady makes downloadable side quests and not just costumes, challenge maps and characters for said maps. I'd be interested in seeing the return of Scarecrow (even though I think he should've died in AA for making me believe my console broke) or better yet, the Red Hood.
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: Says a lot about Batman, doesn't it? Seriously though, Talia can always just take a dip in a Lazarus Pit, and the League of Assassins will probably do that anyway. While he was broken by the fact he couldn't save the Joker, he also knows he can't be brought back like the al Ghuls.
Downloadable sidequests would be interesting, but Scarecrow is clearly being saved for the next game, and I think adding the Red Hood would put too much reliance on the already heavily-leaned-upon Lazarus Pits. And there's so much of the Rogues Gallery already being used, so I'm not sure what other big name villains you could stuff into the game. Firefly or Maxie Zeus, maybe?
I think Arkham City hit a perfect balance of villains and story. Enough of them are around, with their activities criss-crossing, that the game does in fact feel like a prison with all these super-egos clashing around you, but it's not overloaded with them to the point where none of them have an impact.
The opening is really brilliantly done. Very atmospheric and it sucks you right into the universe of the game.

[SPOILER - highlight to read]: That is true. The Harem of Assassins can just dip Talia in the Lazarus Pit.
Why does Batman feel bad he couldn't save the Joker? He's a psychopath and Batman isn't even responsible for his death. Joker obviously killed himself the moment he made Batman drop the vial containing the cure.
You may have a point there with those two. I wouldn't mind Firefly.
I like the part in the beginning where [SPOILER - highlight to read]: I defeat Penguin's henchmen. As soon I climb up this building, I hear Penguin giving me all kinds of crap. I climbed back down, ran up to him, and knocked him out.
